We're Hiring: General Manager V-ALUE Business Planning & Consulting | Management Consulting ???? On-site — Cairo, Egypt | Full-time About the role V-ALUE is an established management consulting firm with 14+ years of delivering feasibility studies and business advisory across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the Gulf, and Africa — including a landmark feasibility study for the Suez Canal Authority, reviewed and approved at the highest national levels.
We're at a real growth inflection point — including expansion into the Saudi market in line with Vision 2030 — and the founder is looking for a General Manager to lead the company through its next phase: managing its functions, rebuilding its leadership structure, and driving its growth. This is not a caretaker role. This is a leadership mandate: you'll direct the engines of growth — sales, marketing, and people — and build the team that runs them. What you'll do Growth Leadership Direct and manage the sales & business development function — set the strategy, build the pipeline system, lead the sales team, and oversee expansion into the GCC market (Saudi Arabia in particular). Direct the digital marketing function — own the strategy and positioning, manage the marketing team and channels (Linked In, paid, content, SEO), and hold the function accountable to lead-generation and conversion targets. Shape pricing, offers, and go-to-market strategy for our consulting services across Egypt and the Gulf. Organization & Leadership Building Rebuild the company's board and senior leadership team — define the structure, recruit and develop the right leaders for each function, and build the management layer that will carry the firm's growth. Oversee the establishment of a complete HR management system — organizational structure, policies, performance management, and development paths — and manage its rollout across the firm. Lead, motivate, and develop a Gen Z-heavy team — building a culture of accountability and growth. Operations & Direction Run day-to-day operations across delivery, HR, and admin — quality, deadlines, and accountability. Use business analytics to steer decisions — pipeline health, marketing ROI, delivery capacity, and firm performance. Oversee a parallel software business line alongside the core consulting work. Champion AI adoption across the firm's workflows and services. Report directly to the founder with full ownership of growth and organizational targets. What we're looking for Proven experience in business development — you've done it hands-on before and can now lead it: strategy, pipeline systems, and team management. Strong command of digital marketing — enough to direct the function, challenge the team, and judge what actually converts. Experience selling or managing the sale of services into the GCC market (Saudi Arabia in particular). Experience building or restructuring leadership teams — hiring senior people and building management structures. Capable of overseeing the establishment of an HR management system — from org structure to performance and policies. MBA — or the equivalent knowledge earned through real business experience. Strong leadership skills with a genuine entrepreneurial spirit. Solid grasp of business analytics and data-driven decision-making. Proven ability to lead, engage, and retain Gen Z talent. A growth and expansion mindset — someone who builds, not just maintains. Comfortable overseeing a software/tech business line alongside consulting. Dependable, accountable, a continuous learner — and a firm believer in AI's power to transform how business gets done. Fluent Arabic and strong English. This is a full-time, on-site role based at our Cairo office. Why this role is different You won't inherit chaos — you'll inherit a firm with a proven 14-year methodology, a serious reputation, and an established client base. Your mandate is to build the organization that scales it: the leadership team, the systems, and the growth engines. Direct partnership with the founder, real authority, and a defining role in the firm's next chapter

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for an Operations Manager who runs a contact center through clear thinking and early action, not through firefighting and churn. This role owns the performance of the operation: the quality of the decisions made each day, the capability of the team leaders, and the customer experience that results from both. The person we want does not wait for problems to become terminations. They diagnose why performance is slipping, act through their team leaders to fix it, and turn to exits only after genuine coaching and support have failed. We are hiring for judgment first. Think before you act. Diagnose the root cause of performance, quality, and CX problems instead of treating symptoms. When a metric moves, you can explain why, what you changed, and what you expect next. You bring data and a reasoned recommendation to leadership, not just a status update. Build your team leaders, do not bypass them. Your job is to make your TLs capable of managing their own people. You coach them to spot underperformance early, hold direct conversations, and run improvement plans. A struggling agent is first a coaching question for the TL, not a headcount problem for HR. Manage performance early and fairly. Catch underperformance in weeks, not quarters. Put concrete, time-bound improvement plans in place, document them, and give people a real chance to recover. Termination is the last step after support has failed, not the default tool. You are measured on retention and ramp, not only on removing low performers. Drive cross-functional fixes to done. Most operational problems are not solved inside the contact center alone. You work closely and continuously with product, service desk, quality, training, WFM, and real-time managers. You own the outcome end to end: you bring the plan, the next steps, and the follow-through, and you keep driving until the process and the people are working in a way that suits the customer's experience. You do not hand a problem off and wait. Own the customer impact of every operational choice. Staffing gaps, slow coaching, and constant turnover all land on the customer. You are accountable for the link between how you run the team and what the customer experiences across calls, email, chat, and social. Run the day without losing the week. Handle escalations and disputes with sound judgment, but spend your attention on the patterns behind them. Recurring escalations are a process or capability signal, and you act on the cause. Improve the system. Identify inefficiencies, remove them, and use automation and self-service where they genuinely help. Justify changes with evidence and measure whether they worked. Stay compliant and report honestly. Meet local regulatory and company standards, and give leadership an accurate picture, including what is not working.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.

10+ years in contact center operations, including 5+ years leading teams (Supervisor or Team Lead), or 2+ years as an Operations Manager running inbound teams.

Demonstrated ability to improve KPIs such as CSAT, response time, and first-contact resolution, with the reasoning behind the improvements.

A clear example of building team leader capability, and a clear example of recovering an underperformer.

Fluency in English plus the primary language of the market served (for example Arabic in GCC markets), written and verbal.

Proficiency with CRM systems, contact center technology, and workforce management tools.

Knowledge of local market dynamics, regulatory requirements, and cultural nuance in customer interactions across the markets you operate in.
