Configure and optimize device discovery, polling strategies, subscriptions, batching, retries, and data transformation logic. Deploy and configure the Para Edge runtime, Docker-based services, and Kepware gateways in client and lab environments. Validate networking prerequisites (firewall rules, VLAN segmentation, DNS, NAT, routing) and troubleshoot protocol and communication issues using packet captures and device diagnostics. Lead standard commissioning activities: device discovery, ingestion verification, and mapping/metadata validation (tag naming, units, schemas, timestamps). The Mid-Level Data Acquisition Engineer should be comfortable using AI-powered engineering tools to assist with connector development, automation, debugging, testing, documentation, code reviews, and technical research. AI-generated outputs must always be validated to ensure they meet security, quality, reliability, and maintainability standards. <br>Requirements:<br>3–5 years of experience in software engineering, IoT/OT integration, smart buildings, or industrial systems. Solid Python engineering skills for production services and automation (beyond scripting). Hands-on experience with at least two of: BACnet/IP, Modbus TCP/RTU, OPC-UA, MQTT in real deployments. Good working knowledge of Linux, Docker, and edge/gateway environments; familiarity with IoT gateways such as Kepware.
