Role Description<br>The Senior Sales Engineer – Business Development & Market Expansion is a full-time hybrid and highly field-oriented role based in Shibīn al Kawm, with frequent travel across Egypt to industrial zones, factories, farms, agricultural enterprises, commercial facilities, and potential project sites.<br>This is not a desk-based sales position. The role is primarily focused on opening new doors, developing new markets, generating qualified opportunities, and building strong relationships with decision-makers across MAESC’s target sectors.<br>The Senior Sales Engineer will take ownership of developing and executing a structured sales and market expansion plan for MAESC’s integrated cleantech solutions, including renewable energy, bioenergy, waste-to-energy, sustainability solutions, AI-powered monitoring, carbon intelligence, and related infrastructure services.<br>Key Responsibilities<br>* Proactively identify and approach new potential clients across industrial, agricultural, commercial, and public-sector markets.* Conduct frequent field visits to factories, farms, industrial zones, agricultural projects, commercial facilities, and other target sites to identify opportunities and understand client needs.* Build a strong pipeline through direct prospecting, field visits, referrals, partnerships, networking, industry events, and strategic relationships.* Open new accounts and establish relationships with business owners, factory managers, farm owners, engineering departments, procurement teams, sustainability managers, and senior decision-makers.* Develop a clear Sales & Business Development Action Plan, including target sectors, geographical territories, priority accounts, monthly activities, conversion targets, and revenue objectives.* Build, develop, and eventually lead a high-performing sales and business development team, defining individual responsibilities, territories, targets, and KPIs.* Establish practical sales processes, including: * Lead generation and qualification * Client segmentation * Sales pipeline management * Site visit planning * Proposal follow-up * Opportunity tracking * Account management * Forecasting and reporting * Conversion and performance measurement* Implement and maintain appropriate CRM, dashboards, reporting systems, and follow-up tools to ensure every opportunity is tracked from first contact through negotiation and closing.* Define and monitor measurable KPIs such as new leads, client visits, qualified opportunities, proposals submitted, pipeline value, conversion rates, sales cycle, closed contracts, and revenue generated.* Work closely with MAESC’s engineering and project teams to translate customer requirements into technically and commercially competitive solutions.* Prepare and coordinate technical and commercial proposals, presentations, tenders, quotations, and client demonstrations.* Lead commercial discussions and negotiations while maintaining a strong understanding of project economics and customer value.* Develop strategic partnerships with consultants, contractors, suppliers, industry associations, financial institutions, developers, and other market stakeholders capable of generating new business opportunities.* Identify emerging market opportunities and provide management with continuous intelligence regarding customer demand, competitors, pricing, regulations, and sector trends.* Represent MAESC at exhibitions, conferences, industry meetings, networking events, and business development activities.* Maintain relationships beyond the initial sale to generate repeat business, referrals, cross-selling, and long-term strategic accounts.<br>Qualifications<br>* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Energy, Environmental Engineering, or another relevant technical discipline.* Proven experience in B2B technical sales, business development, market expansion, or solution selling.* Strong preference for candidates with experience selling to factories, farms, industrial facilities, agricultural enterprises, or infrastructure clients.* Experience in renewable energy, solar energy, cleantech, industrial solutions, sustainability, energy efficiency, or related sectors is highly beneficial.* Demonstrated ability to generate business independently rather than relying only on inbound leads.* Strong field-sales mentality with willingness and ability to travel frequently across Egypt and spend significant time visiting clients and project sites.* Proven ability to build relationships with senior decision-makers and convert initial meetings into qualified commercial opportunities.* Experience developing sales plans, territories, pipelines, KPIs, CRM systems, forecasting, and performance reports.* Previous experience building, mentoring, or managing a sales team is highly preferred.* Strong negotiation, presentation, communication, and closing skills.* Commercial mindset combined with sufficient technical understanding to communicate complex engineering solutions in terms of ROI, operational savings, sustainability impact, and business value.* Self-driven, highly organized, target-oriented, and comfortable being accountable for measurable results.* Ability to work effectively across sales, engineering, operations, management, and external partners.* Strong English communication skills;
