Supervises closely Food Cost Controller to guarantee a cost according to the financial targets, to recognise price increases and adjust prices accordingly, if necessary. Ensures all staff is thoroughly familiar with the Hotel’s emergency procedures and is in a state of preparedness for any emergency which may occur. Execution of regular technical/skills training. Is responsible for setting up and maintaining ongoing training programs in the department in conjunction with the Personnel & Training Manager. Review reservation books daily. Maintains a monthly overview of vacation- and public holiday balance of all his/her staff and delivers a monthly consolidated summary to the Personnel Manager. He/she is familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the relevant Operational Standards Manual for his/her field of responsibility. Employment Type: Full-Time (On-site)<br>Key Responsibilities The General Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership for the entire Solid Waste & Treatment Sector by:Leading the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of solid waste management and treatment operations. Managing all collection, transportation, sorting, recycling, treatment, and final disposal activities. Developing and executing long-term operational and strategic plans aligned with HEPCA's environmental objectives. Managing large multidisciplinary teams, field operations, supervisors, and department managers. Overseeing fleet management, maintenance programs, operational logistics, and infrastructure. Developing annual budgets and monitoring financial performance to maximize operational efficiency. Establishing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across all operational activities. Ensuring full compliance with Egyptian environmental regulations, occupational health & safety standards, and international best practices. Identifying opportunities for process optimization, digital transformation, automation, and operational innovation. Preparing operational reports, performance analyses, and strategic recommendations for senior management and governmental partners. Building and maintaining strong relationships with governmental authorities, municipalities, private sector partners, donors, and local communities. Supporting public awareness initiatives and community engagement programs that promote sustainable waste management practices. Leading crisis management, operational risk assessments, and emergency response planning.<br>Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess:Education Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Waste Management, Public Administration, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree (MBA, Environmental Management, Engineering Management, or related discipline) is highly preferred. Experience Minimum 10 years of professional experience in solid waste management, environmental services, municipal services, or related industries. At least 5 years in a senior leadership or executive management position. Proven experience managing large operational teams and field-based services. Demonstrated expertise in:Waste collection Transportation Waste treatment Recycling Landfill management Resource recovery Experience in operational planning, budgeting, fleet management, procurement, and performance management.
