Day-to-day tasks include conducting site inspections, preparing technical specifications and drawings, coordinating with suppliers and contractors, and ensuring fender systems comply with applicable standards and safety requirements. The role involves troubleshooting performance issues, performing condition assessments, and recommending upgrades or replacements to optimize durability and safety. The position is part time, on-site, and based in Alexandria, Egypt, requiring close collaboration with project teams, operations staff, and clients to support ongoing and new maritime projects.<br>Qualifications<br> Technical skills in marine engineering, civil or mechanical engineering, or related field, with specific experience in marine fender systems or coastal structures. Practical skills in inspection, installation, and maintenance of marine equipment, including the use of hand tools, measuring instruments, and basic diagnostic tools. Ability to read and prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports, using CAD or similar design software where required. Knowledge of relevant maritime and port standards, safety regulations, and best practices related to berthing and fender system performance. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess site conditions and propose effective technical solutions. Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and interact professionally with clients and suppliers. Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and site visits in a part-time capacity. Relevant technical diploma or engineering degree; previous experience in port operations, shipyard environments, or maritime projects is an advantage. Proficiency in English and Arabic is beneficial, along with a willingness to follow company safety procedures and continuous learning in maritime technologies.
