Job Location6TH OF OCTOBER CITY PLANTJob DescriptionWe are actively seeking dedicated Occupational Health Nurses to join our team in Egypt, with opportunities available at both our Cairo Business Office and our 6th of October Plant. Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications:ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF SITE NURSE:<ul><li>Preventive Health Care</li><li>Curative Health Care</li><li>Promotive Health Care</li></ul>1. Preventive Health Care:<ul><li>Assisting Medical Leader/Occupational Health Physician in pre-employment & periodic medical checkup,</li><li>Carry out various occupational health related tests & keep proper record of them like-audiometry, Lung function test etc. as deemed necessary by Medical leader,</li><li>To give health related awareness to employees by various trainings and events,</li><li>Assist in rehabilitation and return to work programs,</li><li>Implementation of strong and qualitative vaccination programs,</li><li>Arrangement, co-ordination and proper implementation of health diagnostic campaigns,</li><li>Participate in ergonomic assessments of the workplace & trainings,</li><li>Conduct monthly workplace inspections including equipment checks for basic and advanced life support,</li><li>Work in a multi-disciplinary team with HS&E, HR and Management to promote employee health safety and well-being,</li><li>Review employees’ medical cases who have any one period exceeding 3 days sickness absence,</li><li>Give training of first aid, basic life support with AED, industrial hygiene, safe food handling, and other trainings under guidance of occupational health physician. Prepare training data & identify target audience for all these trainings,</li><li>Take active part in various mock drills, rescue drills and live demonstrations,</li><li>Proper implementation of emergency medical plan in case of emergencies,</li><li>Liaise with managers and site Occupational Health Physician in managing the sickness absence cases facilitating appropriate referrals,</li><li>Track, schedule & conduct appropriate regular medical testing for P&G employees in critical roles, i.e. fork lift truck drivers, confined spaces,</li><li>Track, schedule & conduct relevant health surveillance to employees working with hazards i.e. spirometry, skin prick testing plus audiometry/vision testing at appropriate time intervals,</li><li>Ensure at risk employees are aware of the procedure to obtain post exposure prophylactic treatment in the event of an exposure incident,</li><li>Maintain record of vaccinations for employees needing it in relation to their responsibilities, (including but not limited to 1st aiders, healthcare team, food handlers, sewage handers, etc.),</li><li>Ensure that all wearers of respirators do have medical clearance by the site physician/occupational health physician,</li><li>Provide medical advice in relation to business travel,</li><li>Initiate, conduct & maintain a process for site health risk analysis & health needs analysis,</li></ul>2. Curative Health Care:<ul><li>First aid and emergency medical care to employees for injuries and illnesses,</li><li>Employee referral & co-ordination with hospitals and/or healthcare providers,</li><li>Follow up on employee cases referred to hospitals or specialists,</li></ul>3. Promotive Health Care:<ul><li>Implementation of health awareness promotional trainings and events,</li><li>Various Health Days celebration like World Diabetes Day, World Heart Day, Breast Cancer & Prostate Cancer Awareness Days, Occupational Health Day etc.</li></ul>There are some other criteria like legal requirements, audit compliance, local & regional need etc.<ul><li>Review pre-placement health assessment documentation completion, conduct any relevant screening and refer to physician if required for medical examination,</li><li>Keep her/his Medical knowledge up to date in terms of new technologies, new relevant medical equipment, health related laws, internal company regional and global health related policies & systems,</li><li>Compliance of audit as per local, regional and global requirements,</li><li>Adhere to HSKE (Health System Key Elements) requirements and other organizational rules and regulations,</li><li>Ensure that all relevant confidentiality & PII handling rules are followed rigorously amongst all site medical team, as well as safekeep company proprietary and business data,</li><li>Proper use of medical instruments and facilities, as well as ensuring functionality, timely maintenance of relevant devices as well as ensure proper use by contracted physicians,</li><li>Ensure that all employees do have a medical record with pertinent information and updated always. Ensure that other contractor or non-P&G employee categories do have pertinent data,</li><li>Record keeping & maintenance: Ensure that all medical records are well kept and organized, and retention limits are according to P&G guidelines & local laws</li><li>Follow medical guidance of company Medical Leader and site occupational health physician as per the business need,</li><li>Advise employees and managers regarding work-related health issues,</li><li>Participate in the site disability management process as stipulated by site physician.</li></ul>Job QualificationsPrerequisites<ul><li>The Site Nurse is a qualified, certified and currently licensed Nurse by the country specific laws in which he/she operates.</li><li>The site nurse reports directly to the employed Country Health Systems Leader/Physician or in lack of this to Country HR while also in lack of this functionally to the sub-regional / regional Health Systems Manager or Medical Leader.</li><li>Medium to advanced fluency in English language is a must.</li><li>Occupational Health qualification or desire to working towards Occupational Health qualification is strongly desired (as per country nursing curriculum availability).</li><li>Highest nursing qualification level available in the country is an advantage.</li><li>Experience in one of the following medical competencies might be an advantage:</li><li>Occupational Health,</li><li>Emergency Management/Oxyology,</li><li>Intensive Care,</li><li>Ambulance/Paramedic,</li><li>Pulmonology,</li><li>Toxicology,</li><li>Outpatient Care in General Medicine,</li><li>Health Management roles or</li><li>working in an enterprise environment.</li><li>Detailed knowledge and familiarity with the country Health Care legislation is strongly desired.</li></ul><h2>JUST SO YOU KNOW:</h2>You will get a competitive compensation package, in line with your qualifications and experience.We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
