Manager, LLT External Relations and Administrative Operations - Libraries and Learning Technologies

Reports to: Dean of Libraries and Learning Technologies<br>Purpose:The job holder will support the dean in initiatives that enhance the visibility, innovation, and outreach of the Libraries and Learning Technologies (LLT). The position works collaboratively with internal library teams, the dean’s office, and University communications to ensure that all outreach efforts reflect the library’s priorities, showcase its services and impact, and strengthen its role within and beyond the University community.<br>Responsibilities:Library Tours and Public Engagement: Plan, deliver, and maintain customized in-person and virtual library tours in both Arabic and English, tailoring content for diverse audiences and collaborating to ensure accuracy and accessibility Marketing: Promote library tours and virtual experiences through various channels, develop and update online user resources, and create compelling displays and exhibits showcasing LLT services and impact Regional Training Program Development: Collaborate with the dean and library units to conceptualize and design professional training programs for external library professionals in the region, including needs assessments, market research, and proposal development Administrative Support: Assist the dean with impactful presentations, reports, and communication materials for internal and external audiences Library Emerging Trend Exploration: Conduct in-depth research on global library trends, best practices, and opportunities within professional associations and peer institutions to inform the dean Additional Related Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned<br>Requirements:Minimum Education Requirements:Master’s degree is preferred Experience:Minimum of 10 years of professional experience Experience in developing proposals, conducting needs assessments, and overseeing implementation<br>Skills:Leadership: Excellent supervisory and organizational skills Communication and Presentation Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills Ability to present information clearly to diverse audiences Cultural Awareness: Cultural sensitivity and awareness when dealing with regional and international visitors Multitasking: Able to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail Crisis Management: Highly effective in crisis situations, collaborating well under pressure Technical Skills: Basic graphic design and multimedia editing Competence in managing web content and digital outreach channels Market Research: Ability to conduct market research and benchmarking<br>This position is open until filled. HEPCA IS HIRING | GENERAL MANAGER – SOLID WASTE & TREATMENT SECTOR<br>Lead the Future of Sustainable Waste Management in the Red Sea HEPCA (Hurghada Environmental Protection and Conservation Association) is seeking an experienced and visionary General Manager – Solid Waste & Treatment Sector to lead one of the largest environmental operations in the Red Sea Governorate. This is a senior leadership position responsible for driving the strategic direction, operational excellence, and continuous development of HEPCA's Solid Waste Management and Treatment Sector. The successful candidate will oversee waste collection, transportation, treatment, recycling, landfill operations, and environmental compliance while contributing to the organization's mission of protecting the Red Sea and promoting sustainable development.<br>About HEPCAThe Hurghada Environmental Protection and Conservation Association (HEPCA) is one of the Middle East's leading environmental NGOs, established in 1992 to protect the Red Sea's unique marine and terrestrial ecosystems. HEPCA works closely with the Red Sea Governorate, the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA), national parks, governmental authorities, tourism stakeholders, and international partners to implement sustainable environmental programs that protect biodiversity, improve waste management systems, and support responsible tourism. Today, HEPCA operates one of the largest integrated solid waste management systems in the Red Sea Governorate, serving communities, businesses, and tourism destinations while advancing environmental sustainability.<br>Position General Manager – Solid Waste & Treatment Sector???? Location: Hurghada, Red Sea Governorate, Egypt???? Employment Type: Full-Time (On-site)<br>Key Responsibilities The General Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership for the entire Solid Waste & Treatment Sector by:Leading the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of solid waste management and treatment operations. Managing all collection, transportation, sorting, recycling, treatment, and final disposal activities. Developing and executing long-term operational and strategic plans aligned with HEPCA's environmental objectives. Managing large multidisciplinary teams, field operations, supervisors, and department managers. Overseeing fleet management, maintenance programs, operational logistics, and infrastructure. Developing annual budgets and monitoring financial performance to maximize operational efficiency. Establishing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across all operational activities. Ensuring full compliance with Egyptian environmental regulations, occupational health & safety standards, and international best practices. Identifying opportunities for process optimization, digital transformation, automation, and operational innovation. Preparing operational reports, performance analyses, and strategic recommendations for senior management and governmental partners. Building and maintaining strong relationships with governmental authorities, municipalities, private sector partners, donors, and local communities. Supporting public awareness initiatives and community engagement programs that promote sustainable waste management practices. Leading crisis management, operational risk assessments, and emergency response planning.<br>Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess:Education Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Waste Management, Public Administration, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree (MBA, Environmental Management, Engineering Management, or related discipline) is highly preferred. Experience Minimum 10 years of professional experience in solid waste management, environmental services, municipal services, or related industries. At least 5 years in a senior leadership or executive management position. Proven experience managing large operational teams and field-based services. Demonstrated expertise in:Waste collection Transportation Waste treatment Recycling Landfill management Resource recovery Experience in operational planning, budgeting, fleet management, procurement, and performance management. Previous experience working with NGOs, environmental organizations, municipalities, or government projects is highly desirable.<br>Required Skills We're looking for a leader who demonstrates:Strong strategic thinking and business planning abilities.
