<span>Job Purpose: The Road Engineer, Shop Drawings, shall prepare, coordinate, check, and revise road shop drawings for UAE infrastructure projects.<br> The engineer shall be able to work independently on assigned drawings with guidance from the Senior Road Engineer or Technical Lead.<br> He shall prepare road layouts, profiles, cross sections, grading drawings, pavement drawings, kerb drawings, signage, road markings, and related coordination drawings.<br> Key Responsibilities: 1.<br> Prepare road shop drawings based on IFC drawings, specifications, standard details, project requirements, and senior engineer instructions.<br> 2. Prepare road layout drawings, setting out drawings, grading drawings, longitudinal profiles, cross sections, kerb layouts, pavement drawings, road marking drawings, and signage drawings.<br> 3. Prepare and update Civil 3D data, including alignments, profiles, surfaces, corridors, sections, and basic quantity outputs.<br> 4. Check road levels, coordinates, chainages, o sets, slopes, crossfalls, pavement build up, tie-ins, and interfaces with existing roads.<br> 5. Coordinate road drawings with stormwater, sewerage, irrigation, potable water, electrical, street lighting, telecom, structures, landscape, and tra ic diversion works.<br> 6. Check that manhole covers, gullies, catch basins, valve chambers, inspection chambers, and utility crossings match the proposed road levels.<br> 7. Identify grading conflicts, ponding risks, reverse slopes, low point issues, kerb conflicts, cover level issues, and tie-in problems.<br> 8. Prepare shop drawing revisions based on consultant comments, internal comments, RFI responses, site comments, and revised IFC drawings.<br> 9. Prepare technical markups for draftsmen and coordinate the required updates.<br> 10. Support the Senior Road Engineer in preparing RFIs for missing information, design conflicts, or non-constructible details.<br> 11. Support the site team with sketches, clarifications, level checks, and coordination inputs when required.<br> 12. Maintain drawing files, markups, revision records, trackers, and submission status in proper order.<br> 13. Ensure no assigned drawing is issued for internal review without checking dimensions, levels, references, and coordination points Minimum Qualifications: 1.<br> Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.<br> 2. 4 to 8 years of experience in road shop drawings or road design coordination.<br> 3. UAE or GCC infrastructure experience is preferred.<br> 4. Contractor-side experience is preferred.<br> 5. Strong AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience is required</span> </div>
