The applicant should have sound practical experience in temporary exhibition, permanent exhibition, showroom/shop or public space. The environment offers opportunities for publishing in peer-reviewed journals, attending conferences, and contributing to climate and air quality policy discussions.<br>Role Description The PhD Researcher will conduct original research in air pollution and climate change under the supervision of the professor, including designing experiments, collecting and analyzing environmental data, and developing models or analytical frameworks. Daily tasks include reviewing scientific literature, performing field or laboratory measurements, processing and interpreting datasets, and preparing figures, tables, and reports. The researcher will write scientific papers, contribute to grant proposals, and present results at group meetings, seminars, and conferences. Responsibilities also include collaborating with other researchers, assisting in supervising junior students, and maintaining research equipment and documentation. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Cairo, requiring regular presence in the laboratory, field sites, and at partner institutions as needed.<br>Qualifications<br> Strong foundation in environmental science, atmospheric science, climate science, or a closely related field, with a completed master’s degree or equivalent qualification. Competence in quantitative research methods, including data analysis, statistics, and use of scientific software (e.g., MATLAB, R, Python, or similar tools). Experience with field or laboratory work related to air quality, emissions measurement, environmental monitoring, or climate-related observations. Ability to conduct comprehensive literature reviews, formulate research questions, design methodologies, and interpret scientific findings critically. Strong scientific writing and communication skills for preparing theses, journal articles, presentations, and technical reports in English. Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, manage time effectively, and meet research milestones. Interest in contributing to solutions for air pollution and climate change challenges, with openness to engage in policy-relevant or applied research. Previous publications, conference presentations, or participation in research projects are advantageous.
