Operating across multiple regional and international markets, the organization is recognized for delivering innovative financial solutions while maintaining the highest standards of governance, performance, and operational excellence.<br>The Development Director will direct and manage all software development functions across the Group, ensuring scalable delivery, high-quality engineering practices, and alignment between development execution, technology strategy, and business priorities.<br>Job Role Manage the delivery of software development initiatives across platforms, ensuring execution against defined roadmaps, priorities, and quality standards. Translate technology and architecture direction into actionable engineering plans and ensure consistent execution across development teams. Oversee end-to-end development governance, including planning, execution, quality assurance alignment, and dependency management across teams and products. Monitor sprint delivery, release plans, throughput, and engineering performance, identifying risks early and guiding teams on mitigation actions. Govern and track AI-assisted development adoption, monitor usage metrics, and drive continuous improvement in AI-enabled engineering workflows. Develop an escalation management matrix outlining escalation levels, roles, and response pathways for engineering delivery issues and risks. Provide regular reports on engineering delivery performance and risks to IT Management. Support Engineering Managers in managing workload distribution, resolving delivery challenges, and optimizing team productivity. Ensure effective collaboration with Product Management, QA, Database, Information Security, Infrastructure, and Dev Ops teams. Promote the adoption of modern engineering practices, automation, and productivity-enhancing methodologies. Manage engineering teams' learning and development in coordination with HR across backend, frontend, mobile, and platform engineering. Ensure adherence to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), engineering standards, coding practices, and architectural guidelines across all development teams. Ensure compliance with AML/CTF regulations, complete all required AML/CTF training, and respond to AML, CTF, and sanctions-related inquiries in a timely manner. What are we looking for Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.15+ years of experience in software engineering or software development, including at least 6 years in engineering leadership roles. Proven experience leading large development teams and delivering complex software platforms. Experience working within large software organizations or global technology companies, with exposure to multiple products and diverse technology stacks. Strong understanding of modern engineering practices, including distributed systems, microservices, and scalable platform design. Experience with Agile methodologies, SDLC governance, and modern engineering workflows. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple teams and complex engineering initiatives simultaneously. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
