<strong>TITLE: </strong>Psychologist <br> <strong>TEAM/PROGRAMME: </strong>Program/ Operation <strong>LOCATION: Aswan Field Office</strong> <br> <strong>GRADE</strong>: 5 <strong>CONTRACT LENGTH: One year</strong> <br> <p><strong>CHILD SAFEGUARDING: (select only one) </strong> </p><br> <p>Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people <i><u>either</u></i> frequently (e.g. once a week or more) <u>or</u> intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.</p><br> <br> <p><strong>ROLE PURPOSE: </strong> </p><br> <p>The key purpose of this post is to provide psychosocial support services in compliance with the relevant SCI guidelines at the country office level in support to Egypt Response program. Under the supervision of MHPSS officer and the Mental Health Psycho Social Support (MHPSS) Technical Advisor (TA), the psychologist will be responsible for providing individual/group sessions for UASC and child at risk and youth need psychosocial support identified through the project activities and referrals. S/he will be responsible to conduct the needed assessments and customize the session topics based on the identified needs of the target group. S/he will also be responsible for organizing group support and awareness sessions to UASC children and children at risk and their families, and refer those with acute psychological needs to specialized services.</p><br> <p>The project is funded from the Swiss Development Corporation (SDC) and will be based in Aswan. The project duration is one year from January 2026 to December 2026. The project will be targeting Sudanese community in Aswan based in Aswan field office, and the team will be working and based across 3 friendly scpaces in areas with high Sudanese concentration as Karkar and Nasr Elnuba, working on multisectors</p><br> <p>- Child Protection: case management for children exposed to protection risks, besides providing emergency cash and protection for cash. It will also include mentorship program for children especially the unacompanied and separated children. Additionally, there will be capacity building for community leaders and teachers on CP and safeguarding. Furthermore, there will be awareness raising for children on their rights, besides awareness for their parents as well.</p><br> <p>- MHPSS: providing groups and individual mental health and psychosocial support to the children in groups and also individually according the care plan of each child. There will be also positive parenting groups conducted for the parents. Moreover, there will be community events held to enhance their wellbeing and integration.</p><br> <p>- Education: it will include renovation for community learning centers of Sudanese community, beside training to the teachers on the main technical and socio-emotional mechanisms. The project will provide education grants as well for the children enrolled in these centers. There will be also programs provided to the children who dropped out to enable them to return back to school, and other program for children who have weak literacy skills.</p><br> <p>- Livelihood: the component will have two tracks; wage employment and self employment. The 1st track will include capacity building for the beneficiaries followed by matching to employment opportunity. Beneficiaries will be supported by cash assistance and apprenticeship for 3 months. The 2nd track will be self employment starting with capacity building for the beneficiaries then provision of seed fund to start their business. Beneficiaries will have at least 3 month of coaching and monitoring. Vocational training will be also provided based on need.</p><br> <p>- Cash Assistance: the project will provide multipurpose cash assistance for vulnerable families, besides winteriation assistance as well. There will be also awareness raising on money management for those receiving the cash assistance.</p><br> <p>- Health: will include emergency nutrition screening and rapid nutritional support provided to newly arrived crisis-affected children and women. Additionally, there will be support to the public health system by training provision to staff and providing medical supplies. There will be also trainings for mental health, and GBV-related service providers in Aswan. The project will support the establishment of health service points within the community to provide health care services as check up, and also providing cash for health.</p><br> <p>- Gender will be mainstreamed across all sectors with focus on gender equality in awareness sessions, girls empowerement and health and protection support for GBV cases</p><br> <br> <p><strong>SCOPE OF ROLE: </strong> </p><br> <p><strong>Reports to: </strong>MHPSS Officer</p><br> <p><strong>Staff directly reporting to this post: </strong>none</p><br> <p><strong>FIELD TRAVEL: </strong>The psychologist is expected to spend at least 70% of his/ her time at the field sites </p><br> <br> <p><strong>KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY: </strong> </p><br><p><strong>Project implementation: </strong> </p><br><p><strong>Psychological Support Services: </strong> </p><br><p><strong>In close collaboration with the MHPSS officer and MHPSS TA, the psychologist will: </strong> </p><br><ul> <li>Contribute to the design/update of intake forms, session plans, and follow-up forms for children and their families.</li> <li>Collaborate with the MEAL team to administer the psychometric assessments upon need and deliver reports accordingly.</li> <li>Develop psychological intervention plans for identified cases and follow up on them regularly.</li> <li>Conduct one to one and group counselling sessions with children and families referred from the project other activities and from other projects by coordination with Case management.</li> <li>Identify, assess, refer severe cases to appropriate psychological/psychiatric service providers.</li> <li>Prepare and submit individual case reports for all cases on their caseload and document case progress.</li> <li>Attend one to one and group supervision meetings (face to face and online) with the MHPSS TA or delegated to MHPSS officer to discuss the above-mentioned documents and for seeking support.</li> <li>Ensure that all psychological interventions offered are informed by current scientific evidence.</li> <li>Adhere to the highest standards of practice.</li> <li>Work closely with the project officer and project manager to develop and implement the project work plan and activities.</li></ul> <p><strong>Other Project Activities:</strong></p><br> <p>• Assist the PSS project team in material development, training deliveries on topics regarding needs identified.</p><br> <p>• Collaborate with the MEAL team to administer remote follow up (By phone or online) and surveys to verify the quality of MHPSS activities.</p><br> <p>• Ensure accurate monitoring & evaluation and indicator tracking plans for the MHPSS component with support of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) team.</p><br> <p>• Work closely with the MEAL officer and assistant to ensure appropriate accountability and feedback mechanisms are established within the project.</p><br> <p>• Ensure that the activities are implemented in a full respect to the child safeguarding polices of SC.</p><br> <p>• Support in the administrative and logistics work related to MHPSS operations within the project.</p><br> <p><strong>Reporting and Documentation </strong> </p><br> <p>• Draft concise, useful and analytical reports, case studies, and other documents as needed on a monthly and quarterly basis and as requested by SC, donors and other stakeholders.</p><br> <p>• Regular reporting to project Officer with projects updates.</p><br> <p>• Organize and maintain project filling system.</p><br> <p><strong>In case of Emergency:</strong></p><br> <p>• Promote children's rights, contributing to their well-being and protection in times of emergencies, guided by humanitarian principles and code of conduct.</p><br> <p>• During emergencies, he/she should act in a way that facilitates SCI’s response to emergencies, giving priority to all assigned.</p><br> <p>• Be prepared to support SCI interventions in response to emergencies and show needed flexibility</p><br> <p><strong>General: </strong> </p><br> <p>• Demonstrate leadership in relation to Save the Children policies and practice with respect to safeguarding, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures.</p><br> <p>• Comply with Save the Children policies and practice with respect to safeguarding policy, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures.</p><br> <p><strong>BEHAVIOURS (Values in Practice</strong>)<strong> Accountability: </strong> </p><br> <p>• holds self-accountable for making decisions, managing resources efficiently, achieving and role modelling Save the Children values</p><br> <p>• holds the team and partners accountable to deliver on their responsibilities - Reporting to the Group Treasurer, this role designs and delivers financial risk-management solutions for the Bank and its clients. Working with the Treasurer and Client Relations, you will expand the client base and boost non-funded treasury revenues in line with the Strategic Plan. This role requires a hands-on, self-starter with a passion for Global Africa who can hit the ground running and drive results with minimal supervision.<br><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br><strong>a. Treasury and Markets Business & Product Development</strong><br>• Develop and maintain business plans for prospective Treasury and Markets balance sheet financial risk solutions, including financial performance projections, SWOT analyses, and clearly articulated value propositions.<br>• Collaborate with Client Relations and product partners to originate and structure new Treasury and Markets-linked assets, investments, and hedging solutions for clients.<br>• Conduct ongoing reviews of the Bank's asset and liability portfolio to identify clients with hedging requirements and assess associated revenue and business potential, in partnership with Client Relations and relevant internal stakeholders.<br>• Identify and evaluate new Treasury and Markets product streams that enhance the Bank's value proposition and meet evolving client needs.<br>• Prepare and present recommendations to the Treasurer and senior management based on product business cases and expected financial performance.<br><strong>b. Market Intelligence and Advisory</strong><br>• Provide technical advisory support to subsidiaries, departments, and business units in the areas of risk hedging, fixed income trading, and valuation of bonds and derivatives.<br>• Develop and present regular market intelligence reports covering financial market developments, outlooks, and forecasts for inclusion in the Treasury & Markets monthly management report.<br>• Review technical and market reports from subsidiaries and respond to specific analytical or structuring requests.<br>• Deliver advisory services and technical assistance to central banks, corporates, and financial institutions across Africa and CARICOM in areas of structured investments, asset-liability management, and financial markets risk hedging.<br>• Support the design and delivery of training programs, client materials, pitchbooks, market updates, and thought leadership sessions for senior management and professionals across client institutions.<br>• Participate in internal committees and working groups, providing technical input, feedback on proposals, and expert advice on Treasury and Markets-related matters.<br><strong>g. Treasury Projects Initiatives</strong><br>• Assisting the Treasurer to plan/budget and execute new treasury client solutions projects; and<br>• Assisting the Treasurer to champion treasury client solutions projects undertaken by the department thereby ensuring that such projects are delivered in time and within set budgets.<br><strong>h. Treasury Resource Planning and Budgetary Management</strong><br>• Fully participate in the Treasury's annual and periodic planning and budgetary processes;<br>• Assist to ensure that Treasury Client Solutions function's performance reviews are conducted in accordance to the Treasury & Markets department and the Bank's Human Resource calendars;<br>• Develop a full plan and budget of the Treasury Client Solutions desk activities and targets to be incorporated into the wider Treasury & Markets Department budget;<br>• Develop a detailed month-by-month activities plan of the treasury client's solutions desk'<br>• Assist to ensure business continuity by adequately backups for the Department's activities by ensuring that all relevant documents are both electronically and physically filed where required;<br>• Mentor junior staff in the Department and the wider Division.<br> i. <strong>Other</strong><br>Any other duties that may be assigned to the role holder by Senior Management from time to time.<br><strong>Requirements</strong><br><strong>Minimum Qualifications </strong> <br>.
