The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and coordination of mechanical building services systems across a range of high-profile construction projects.<br>Working closely with project managers, consultants, contractors, and other design disciplines, you will provide accurate mechanical designs, Revit modelling, and technical coordination throughout the project lifecycle.<br>Key responsibilities Supporting the Building Services team throughout all stages of the design and consultancy process, contributing expertise in schematic, concept, and detailed designs for mechanical systems. Creating technical plans, materials and workshop designs in alignment with contract documentation using Auto CAD, Revit, and other design tools. Leading the setup and implementation of Revit for mechanical design, including creating families, templates, and workflows, as well as training team members on these practices. Producing clash reports via Navisworks and performing QA/QC functions for quality assurance and accuracy. Overseeing and supervising the installation of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with contractual, health, safety, and legislative standards. Collaborating with other design disciplines on-site and through Revit, ensuring seamless coordination for efficient project delivery.<br>What You Bring An engineering qualification in advanced diploma level and/or a recognized qualification in the field of Building services, mechanical or electrical engineering. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Mechanical BIM Engineer role based in North Coast - South Med Project. The Senior Mechanical BIM Engineer will lead the development, coordination, and review of mechanical BIM models, ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards, and timelines. Responsibilities include creating and updating detailed 3D mechanical models and shop drawings, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to resolve clashes, and supporting design optimization for constructability and efficiency. The role involves overseeing mechanical systems design, reviewing installation details, and providing technical guidance to junior engineers and draftspeople. The Senior Mechanical BIM Engineer will also collaborate with site teams to support installation, testing, and commissioning activities, and contribute to continuous improvement of BIM workflows and standards. Qualifications Strong background in Mechanical Engineering with proven experience in mechanical systems design and coordination. Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and BIM software for creating, modifying, and reviewing mechanical models and drawings. Experience in Maintenance planning and support for mechanical systems, including preventive and corrective maintenance considerations in design. Hands-on experience with Inspection of mechanical installations, quality assurance of materials and workmanship, and compliance with codes and standards. Exposure to Automotive or similar mechanical systems is an advantage, especially in understanding complex mechanical assemblies and performance requirements.
