Day-to-day tasks include analyzing material, labor, and equipment requirements, coordinating with engineering, production, and procurement teams, and obtaining quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. The role involves evaluating risks, preparing technical and commercial proposals, and supporting negotiations with clients to secure projects. The Estimation Engineer will also update cost databases, perform market and price research, and contribute to continuous improvement of estimation processes and standards.<br>Qualifications<br> Candidates should possess strong skills in BOQ preparation and Project Estimation for structural steel and industrial fabrication works. Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Candidates should possess effective Negotiation skills for dealing with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors on pricing and contract terms. Candidates should possess strong Research skills to analyze market rates, material costs, and industry trends that impact project estimates. Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field. Beneficial experience includes prior work in steel fabrication, construction, or industrial projects, and familiarity with estimation software and Excel. Additional beneficial skills include attention to detail, numerical accuracy, time management, and clear written and verbal communication in English. Knowledge of regional market conditions and standards in Egypt and the Middle East is an advantage.
