<p>The Reliability Engineering Maintenance Planner is responsible for asset and spares management, preventative maintenance planning and machine history data. They are the site lead for the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software and are required to extract information from it to support the decision making of the site engineering manager. <br>Key job responsibilities<br> - Be the site level Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software, train the local engineering team in its use and escalate issues as required to the AMET team. <br> - Ensure the system is run in line with AMET standards and participate in AMET led projects and improvement programmes to roll out new functionality, procedures, scheduling or reports. <br> - Ensure site level equipment, spare parts and minimum holding levels are correctly recorded in the system in order to ensure technicians are never without the parts they need. <br> - Ensure the system accurately forecasts and assigned all required preventative maintenance to technicians within the team to provide a high level of equipment availability to our internal customers. <br> - Compile equipment information, performance metrics and machine histories and make recommendations for improvements based on their findings. <br> - Manage spare parts stock levels, place and track orders as required. Deploy and configure the Para Edge runtime, Docker-based services, and Kepware gateways in client and lab environments. Validate networking prerequisites (firewall rules, VLAN segmentation, DNS, NAT, routing) and troubleshoot protocol and communication issues using packet captures and device diagnostics. Lead standard commissioning activities: device discovery, ingestion verification, and mapping/metadata validation (tag naming, units, schemas, timestamps). Implement and maintain data-quality checks (freshness, completeness, correctness, schema compliance) and monitor connector health through dashboards and alerts. Execute OTA updates, manage container lifecycles, and verify runtime stability. The Mid-Level Data Acquisition Engineer should be comfortable using AI-powered engineering tools to assist with connector development, automation, debugging, testing, documentation, code reviews, and technical research. AI-generated outputs must always be validated to ensure they meet security, quality, reliability, and maintainability standards. <br>Requirements:<br>3–5 years of experience in software engineering, IoT/OT integration, smart buildings, or industrial systems. Solid Python engineering skills for production services and automation (beyond scripting). Hands-on experience with at least two of: BACnet/IP, Modbus TCP/RTU, OPC-UA, MQTT in real deployments. Good working knowledge of Linux, Docker, and edge/gateway environments; familiarity with IoT gateways such as Kepware. Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, routing) and the ability to troubleshoot connectivity and data-transmission issues independently. Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and both IT and OT data sources. Experience with Git/Git Hub, CI/CD, and automated testing (pytest or similar). Daily, fluent use of AI-assisted engineering tools.
