This role owns the architecture, scalability, security, automation, and operational excellence of cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure platforms while enabling highly reliable software delivery at scale. The Staff Dev Ops Engineer partners closely with Engineering, Security, Architecture, Product, and Infrastructure teams to establish engineering standards, improve developer experience, drive platform modernization, and ensure enterprise-grade resiliency across mission-critical systems.<br>Key Accountabilities:<br>Key accountabilities and decision ownership: (max of 7 accountabilities not main or daily duties or tasks) Platform Engineering Leadership Lead the design, evolution, and governance of enterprise platform engineering capabilities, enabling development teams to build, deploy, and operate applications efficiently through self-service infrastructure, automation, and standardized engineering practices. Cloud & Infrastructure Architecture Own the architecture and continuous improvement of cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure across AWS and on-premises environments, ensuring scalability, security, reliability, cost optimization, and operational excellence. Kubernetes Platform Ownership Define and govern the enterprise Kubernetes strategy, architecture, and operational model across Amazon EKS and hybrid environments, ensuring high availability, resilience, performance, and security of containerized workloads. Dev Sec Ops & CI/CD Strategy Drive the organization's Dev Sec Ops transformation by establishing secure software delivery practices, implementing enterprise CI/CD standards, integrating security controls into pipelines, and optimizing software release processes. Infrastructure as Code & Automation Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management practices using technologies such as Terraform and Ansible, ensuring consistency, repeatability, compliance, and operational efficiency across all environments. Reliability, Monitoring & Observability Establish observability standards and reliability engineering practices through proactive monitoring, alerting, tracing, and performance management, leveraging tools such as Elastic, New Relic, Cloud Watch, Prometheus, and Grafana. Technical Leadership & Mentorship Provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, mentoring, and coaching to Dev Ops, Platform, and Software Engineering teams while driving engineering excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement across the organization.<br>Person Specification<br>5-8 years of experience as a Dev Ops and cloud Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering\Science, or equivalent Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services, including but not limited to Amazon EKS, EC2, Application Load Balancers (ALB/NLB), Auto Scaling, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, Cloud Watch, and Route 53, with proven ability to design, deploy, secure, and operate highly available and scalable cloud-native platforms. Hands-on experience in continuous delivery and continuous integration of CI/CD pipelines, Azure Dev Ops, Repos, branching, code review and code analysis tools Hands-on expertise in diverse Dev Ops concepts / tools, especially on Azure Dev Ops, Pipelines, Git Hub, Git Hub actions Hands on experience on Kubernetes and containerization technologies like Docker and Azure Container Registry Solid knowledge on Bash/Power Shell scripting Solid foundation of networking (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, TLS, Certificates, Service Mesh), Linux administration and Web Servers (NGINX, Apache, IIS).
