The specialist will develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control (IPC) policies and protocols in line with national and international standards. Daily responsibilities include conducting regular infection risk assessments, auditing clinical and non-clinical areas, and monitoring compliance with hand hygiene, isolation precautions, sterilization, and waste management practices. The role involves collecting and analyzing infection surveillance data, preparing reports, and recommending corrective actions to reduce healthcare-associated infections. The specialist will provide training and education to healthcare professionals and support teams, collaborate with occupational health and safety staff, and participate in outbreak investigations and incident reviews.
