Job Purpose<br><br>Reporting directly to the Group CFO, the Head of Finance - Egypt & Shared Services is the most senior finance leader in Egypt and is responsible for a dual mandate: leading the Group's Egypt-based Shared Services finance operations and overseeing all finance activities of the Egypt commercial affiliate.<br><br>The role provides leadership across financial reporting, planning, treasury, working capital management, taxation, compliance, internal controls and business partnering while ensuring the efficient delivery of shared services to AMICO entities across the region.<br><br>The role partners closely with the Egypt Country Head in leading the commercial affiliate, providing strategic, financial and operational leadership to drive business performance, profitability and sustainable growth.<br><br>As an authorised signatory for the Egypt legal entity, the Head of Finance represents the Group in dealings with banks, auditors, regulatory authorities and other external stakeholders, ensuring full compliance with Group policies, governance standards and statutory requirements.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><br>Financial Leadership Lead the Egypt-based Shared Services organisation and ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient and scalable finance services to Group entities. Exercise delegated signature authority for the Egypt legal entity in accordance with approved authorisation limits. Maintain overall responsibility for the financial management, statutory compliance, tax compliance, treasury activities and control environment of the Egypt commercial affiliate. Represent the company before banks, external auditors, regulatory authorities and government agencies. Ensure implementation of Group finance policies, governance standards and internal control requirements throughout all Egypt-based finance activities. Drive process standardisation, automation and continuous improvement initiatives across the Shared Services organisation. Escalate material financial, compliance, liquidity and control matters directly to the Group CFO. Partner with the CFO and relevant stakeholders, providing financial analysis to support commercial and operational decisions in Egypt. Lead the budgeting, forecasting and annual planning processes for the Egypt commercial affiliate and Shared Services operations. Business Leadership & Partnership Serve as a strategic business partner to the Egypt Country Head to drive profitable growth, sustainable market share expansion and achievement of business objectives. Provide financial leadership and commercial insight to support decision-making across sales, marketing, operations and customer management activities. Challenge and support commercial strategies, investment decisions, pricing, tenders, customer profitability and resource allocation to maximise returns. Partner with the Country Head to identify business risks and opportunities and develop actions to improve revenue growth, profitability, cash generation and return on capital. Support the development and execution of the affiliate's strategic and annual operating plans, ensuring alignment with Group objectives. Act as a member of the local leadership team, influencing business decisions beyond the traditional finance function. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management Oversee cash flow planning and liquidity management in Egypt. Optimize receivables, payables, and inventory to improve working capital. Manage banking relationships, financing facilities, and customer credit limits. Accounting & Compliance Ensure accurate month-end closing and financial reporting in line with Group standards. Ensure compliance with Egyptian tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate external audits and ensure timely completion. Risk Management & Controls Strengthen internal controls and ensure adherence to Group governance policies. Identify and mitigate financial risks, including FX exposure and customer credit risk. Team Leadership Build, lead and develop a high-performing finance team and succession pipeline.<br><br>Qualifications - Minimum Requirements<br><br>Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA / CMA / ACCA is a plus).10 15 years of progressive experience in Finance. Strong background in accounting, audit, and financial reporting (prior experience with a Big 4 accounting firm is considered an advantage). Proven experience in Financial Planning & Analysis. Prior experience in trading or product-based companies (non-service, non-banking). Strong knowledge of Egyptian tax laws and banking practices. Experience within a regional group structure is preferred.
