<h2 class="h5">Job description</h2> <div class="t-break" data-jb-field="description"> <p>We are currently seeking to employ a qualified candidate for the position of Renewables Engineer Intern for Technical Services under Renewables, Energy Systems to be based in Cairo or Aswan, Egypt.</p><br><p>As part of DNV’s Renewables MEA Section in the SEMELA region, the Candidate will work along with other technical professionals in the Energy Systems group to provide technical consulting services and support business development activities. The 6 months duration internship will focus on 3 main areas which will be discussed &amp; agreed with candidate.</p><br><p>Support &amp; learn Project Management: exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of renewable energy project management. This is a dynamic and challenging position that helps the project management team within an organization. As an intern in this role, you will be responsible for supporting various project management activities, ensuring the smooth execution of projects, and contributing to their successful completion. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in project management and develop valuable skills in a professional setting. Main activities include:</p><br><ul> <li>Assist project managers in planning, organizing, and coordinating project activities.</li> <li>&nbsp;Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.</li> <li>Help create project plans, timelines, and schedules, and monitor progress against established milestones.</li> <li>Conduct research and gather data related to project objectives, risks, and constraints.</li> <li>Support the development and maintenance of project documentation, including status reports, meeting minutes, and project deliverables.</li> <li>Assist in identifying project issues, risks, and dependencies, and propose solutions or mitigation strategies.</li> <li>Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and capturing meeting outcomes.</li> <li>Contribute to the development and improvement of project management processes and methodologies.</li> <li>Provide general administrative support to the project management team, such as document management, file organization, and data entry.</li></ul><p>(2) Support &amp; learn Bid Management:&nbsp;exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of renewable energy bid management. As an intern in this role, you will provide support to the bid management team, assisting in the preparation and submission of proposals for renewable advisory services. This position offers valuable exposure to the bidding process and the renewable energy sector, allowing you to contribute to the growth of clean energy initiatives. Main activities include:</p><br><ul> <li>Assist the bid management team in coordinating and preparing bids for renewable advisory services for solar and wind technologies.</li> <li>Conduct research on potential project opportunities, including market trends, regulations, and competitor analysis.</li> <li>Support the development of bid documentation, including technical proposals, financial proposals, and project schedules.</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, legal, and business development, to gather relevant information and ensure comprehensive bid submissions.</li> <li>Assist in the preparation of bid presentations and participate in bid review meetings.</li> <li>Help maintain bid tracking systems and databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.</li> <li>Support the analysis of bid outcomes and lessons learned, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.</li> <li>Contribute to the development and improvement of bid management processes and tools.</li> <li>Stay updated on industry trends, policies, and regulations.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>(3) Support &amp; learn technical consulting:&nbsp;excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in the renewable energy industry and contribute to technical consulting projects. As an intern in this role, you will support the technical consultancy team in providing expertise and advice to clients in the renewable energy sector. This position offers exposure to a wide range of renewable energy technologies and projects, allowing you to develop essential skills and knowledge in the field. Main activities include:</p><br><ul> <li>Assist the technical consultancy team in conducting feasibility studies and assessments for renewable energy projects, including solar and wind&nbsp;</li> <li>Support the collection and analysis of technical data, such as site characteristics, resource assessments, and energy production estimates.</li> <li>Assist in the evaluation and optimization of renewable energy technologies and systems</li> <li>Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for clients, outlining findings, insights, and potential solutions</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and business developers, to gather and integrate technical inputs for consulting projects</li> <li>Support the development of financial models and cost-benefit analyses for renewable energy projects.</li> <li>Assist in conducting research on emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory frameworks related to renewable energy.</li> <li>Help maintain project documentation, data repositories, and knowledge management systems.</li> <li>Participate in client meetings, workshops, and presentations as appropriate.</li> <li>Contribute to the continuous improvement of technical consultancy processes and methodologies.</li></ul><p>This role reporting to the Renewables Middle East Team Lead will focus on supporting our technical team in delivering our services to our existing customers and supporting bid managers preparing proposals in MEA region. &nbsp;After completing the internship, depending on performance and market conditions you may obtain a permanent employment with a fair renumeration plan in Egypt.</p><br><p>Please note that this job description serves as a general overview of the typical responsibilities and requirements for a Renewables Engineer Intern position.
