Massive Design Company, specializing in executing and finishing head offices, bank branches, and luxury commercial projects, announces its intention to appoint a Head of Mechanical / Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the company's mechanical team. Responsibilities and job duties:- Lead the engineering and technicians team in the mechanical department at the management and site levels.- Supervise mechanical system designs, review technical calculations, and approve execution and assembly drawings (HVAC, Plumbing, Firefighting).- Allocate work papers and priorities, monitor and develop the performance of junior engineers and technicians.- Full coordination with the architectural and electrical (MEP) departments to resolve any clashes to ensure smooth execution.- Manage fast-track execution operations, testing and commissioning, and final project handover (with focus on bank branches and administrative offices).- Attend owners and consultant meetings and prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and resource planning. Qualifications and essential requirements:- Academic qualification: Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Power specialization preferred).- Experience level: 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering, including at least 3 years in a leadership/head of department role within fast-track interior fit-out projects (banks and commercial offices preferred).- Practical experience: Strong and proven experience in interior finishing projects (Fit-out) such as: bank branches, administrative offices, hotels, and trade shows.- Technical expertise: Proficient in HVAC systems, Plumbing, and Firefighting, with proficiency in load calculations (HAP) and equipment selection.- Software and codes: Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and HAP, with thorough knowledge of global and local codes (NFPA, ASHRAE, Egyptian Codes).- Leadership skills: Ability to lead and guide teams, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work under tight deadlines.
