Video Editor — Nordix Global (Cairo, Egypt) — Hybrid Nordix Global is the official distributor of Scandinavian brands in Egypt, including Zoégas coffee and Sweden's leading nicotine pouch brands. We are assembling a full in house content team, led by our Creative Director, and this role is the execution engine of that team.
We are hiring an experienced full time Video Editor to turn raw footage into high performing content across everything we produce, primarily short form, with long form work as well. This is not an entry level role. We need someone who has already done this exact type of work and can prove it.
Read this before applying, it will save both of us time Do not apply if any of this sounds like you:You have under 3 years of experience or have never worked on high volume, brand and founder driven content before You can cut footage together and add captions, but you have never actually studied pacing, emotional storytelling, or how to make someone feel something through an edit You are not comfortable taking direction and feedback from a Creative Director and revising quickly You cannot commit to fast turnaround and high volume output, this is not a one video a week role You are not fluent in both English and Arabic, written If none of that describes you, keep reading.
What you'll do Edit content across all four of our content pillars: product ads, brand content, company and behind the scenes content, and founder personal brand content Edit high volume short form content for Reels, Tik Tok, Facebook, and Instagram, this is the majority of the work Edit long form content when needed, including founder facing pieces as part of building their personal brand and public presence Work from scripts, hooks, and direction provided by our Creative Director, and take their feedback into fast revisions Edit in a style that matches creator entrepreneurs like Alex Hormozi and Iman Gadzhi: fast pacing, bold captions, strong hooks, retention first storytelling Apply motion graphics, color grading, and cinematic editing techniques to elevate content beyond basic cuts and captions Help maintain a consistent visual and editing standard across all four pillars, so product content, brand content, and founder content all feel part of the same world
The most important thing we're looking for Technical skill is the baseline, not the differentiator. What actually separates a great editor for this role is the ability to make someone feel something through the edit itself, before a single word of the script has landed. That means: pacing that builds tension or anticipation, music and sound design that carries emotional weight, cuts that create rhythm rather than just following the footage, and a sense for when to slow down instead of speeding up. We do a lot of storytelling, emotional selling, and inspirational content, and the edit has to carry that feeling on its own. If you can watch raw, unedited footage and already see the emotional arc hiding inside it, that is exactly what we need.
What we require3+ years editing content professionally, with direct experience in this type of high volume, brand and founder driven short form content, not just general video editing Strong, demonstrated skills in motion graphics, color grading, and cinematic style editing, not just cutting and captions A portfolio that shows storytelling and emotional pacing, not only technical polish Comfortable working from someone else's script and direction, not just your own ideas Fast worker who can handle real volume, we mass produce content, not one video a week Punctual, reliable, and takes full ownership of deliverables Fluent in English and Arabic, written, captions and on screen text in both languages
What we offer Top of market compensation and strong benefits Work inside a full creative team, not alone, clear direction from a Creative Director and close collaboration with our videographer Hybrid position A front row seat in a fast growing international company, your work seen by hundreds of thousands of people, including content built around the founders themselves
How to apply Send your portfolio (links to previous work, Reels, Tik Toks, ads, anything you have cut, short or long form) along with a short introduction via Linked In or Whats App: +46 73 775 76 91. In your message, point us to the one edit you're proudest of and tell us why.
Applications without a portfolio will not be reviewed.
Start date: As soon as possible Application deadline: July 30????
