JOB PURPOSE:<br>lead the design and architecture of high-performance financial transaction systems, drive the transition to a proprietary solution that provides superior agility, faster time‑to‑market for custom payment products, and full control over integrations.<br>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:<br>Design and architect enterprise-grade payment processing solutions using Java and j POS. Lead the development of card management, transaction switching, authorization, clearing, and settlement systems. Design and implement ISO 8583-based transaction flows and message transformations. Architect acquiring, issuing, ATM, POS, and payment gateway integrations. Define secure and scalable microservices and event-driven architectures for financial systems. Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS, EMV, and financial security standards. Lead integration with banks, payment networks, switches, and third-party processors. Optimize transaction throughput, latency, resiliency, and fault tolerance. Design high-availability and disaster recovery strategies for payment platforms. Review technical designs, and solution architectures across development teams. Mentor engineering teams on payment architecture best practices and secure coding standards. As a US-based company with employees across four continents, we are collaborating with a prestigious American client to build their internal corporate application. This project is being developed in partnership with other vendors, and we are expanding our team to support the initiative.<br><br>The ideal candidate will have expert-level experience in Java backend development, including Spring Framework and Spring Boot, and will be responsible for participating in all aspects of the project. This is both a hands-on and leadership role, requiring close collaboration with cross-functional teams and the ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship. You will contribute your expertise to ensure the successful design and implementation of scalable, high-performance systems. Strong proficiency in backend architecture, coding standards, and development best practices is essential.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><br>Lead software development projects with a deep understanding of object-oriented concepts, design patterns, and best practices. Utilize expert knowledge of Java and Spring Framework (including various Spring projects) to develop robust, scalable applications. Collaborate in the design and development of single-page applications (SPA) using modern development concepts.
