Role Purpose <p>The Senior Structural Engineer is responsible for reviewing, designing, coordinating, and supervising structural engineering activities to ensure that all structural works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.</p> <p>The role involves coordinating with architectural, MEP, construction, and technical office teams to ensure the successful execution of structural works from design review through construction and handover.</p> Key Accountabilities <ul> <li>Review structural design calculations, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with applicable building codes and project requirements.</li> <li>Review structural systems, foundations, reinforced concrete elements, and structural steel works, as applicable.</li> <li>Verify the adequacy of structural details, reinforcement arrangements, connections, and construction methodologies.</li> <li>Identify design discrepancies, technical risks, and potential constructability issues, and recommend appropriate solutions.</li> <li>Review design modifications and assess their technical and structural implications.</li> <li>Provide technical support to site engineers and construction teams during the execution of structural works.</li> <li>Ensure that structural construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved shop drawings, method statements, specifications, and inspection requirements.</li> <li>Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues related to foundations, columns, beams, slabs, retaining walls, and other structural elements.</li> <li>Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives to resolve structural engineering issues.</li> <li>Review requests for information (RFIs), technical submittals, and proposed technical alternatives.</li> <li>Monitor structural works to ensure compliance with approved drawings and project requirements.</li> </ul> Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge &amp; Skills <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, with a specialization or strong background in Structural Engineering.-</li> <li>4-6 years of relevant experience in structural engineering, preferably within a construction or contracting company.</li> <li>Proven experience in reinforced concrete structures and, where applicable, structural steel construction.</li> <li>Experience in reviewing structural drawings, design calculations, shop drawings, and technical submissions.</li> <li>Previous experience coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, site teams, and technical offices.</li> <li>Experience in residential, commercial, industrial, or mixed-use construction projects is preferred.</li> <li>Professional registration or membership with the relevant engineering authority, where applicable.</li></ul>

Key Responsibilities:<br>Operational Leadership: Monitor and direct day-to-day plant maintenance activities, ensuring all predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance schedules are executed efficiently across production and packaging lines. Systems Management: Utilize SAP and CMMS platforms to track work orders, analyze equipment performance data, and manage asset life cycles. Inventory & Cost Control: Oversee spare parts inventory management, establish minimum/maximum stock levels, and drive spare parts localization initiatives to optimize the maintenance budget and OPEX. Continuous Improvement: Implement operational excellence methodologies such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to systematically eliminate recurring equipment failures. Quality & Food Safety: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with stringent food safety and quality frameworks (e.g., GMP, HACCP). Oversee equipment enhancements related to food defense, such as magnetic filtration and hygienic design standards. Health & Safety: Cultivate a zero-harm culture by enforcing safety protocols, conducting risk assessments (e.g., LOTO), and ensuring all engineering modifications meet safety compliance standards. Team Development: Lead, train, and mentor a multidisciplinary technical team of engineers and technicians to build internal capability and foster a high-performance culture.<br>Qualifications & Requirements:<br>Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering. Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of hands-on technical engineering experience, with at least 3+ years serving directly as a Maintenance Manager in an FMCG food manufacturing environment. Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in utilizing SAP and modern CMMS software for maintenance planning and inventory control. Skills: Strong leadership skills and strong analytical mindset, excellent cross-functional communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.
