Follow up with all subordinates (Section Heads & Engineers) to ensure that they are performing their delegated tasks in accordance to the department policies and procedures. Manage Workflow including administrative part e.g. team assignments, team evaluation, appraisals, employee vacations, employee breaks …. etc. Train, coach and mentor team members and enforce career development, team building activities and strategic thinking. Ensure the performance of teams to conduct the assigned tasks within the planned duration. Review the progress of procurement activities related to all projects with assigned teams including review of procurement plan, progress of material submittal and issued purchase orders/subcontracts. Asist in preparing periodic performance reports for the section and provide input into the Procurement's performance report. Review the section progress reports and direct work plans to ensure alignment with the department targets. Review and approve the suggested vendors list for each of the project items. Review and approve all purchase orders and subcontracts issued by team members and reviewed by section heads. Coordinate with all Project Mangers, Operations directors and Operations Managing directors for following up projects’ progress and identifying urgent materials, services and equipment requirements. Participate in negotiation of Mega deals to ensure optimum value, delivery duration, terms and conditions considering the project cash flow and execution plan. Participate in strategic deals and long-term agreements with suppliers to get the maximum discount percentages and payment facilities to serve several projects and enhance cash flow. Review/analyze the possibilities to purchase or rent equipment’s and materials, research costs and expenditures by the Procurement Department and provide recommendations to improve internal procurement activities and sources.<br>Qualifications & Requirements Education: BSC in mechanical Engineering Total Years of Experience:12+ years’ experience in the same filed Certifications: PRMG/PMP/ CIPS
Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end procurement cycle for electrical materials, equipment, and services, from material requisition and RFQ through technical/commercial evaluation, negotiation, PO issuance, and delivery. Review BOQs, drawings, specifications, material requisitions, and project requirements to identify procurement needs and ensure accurate sourcing. Prepare and issue RFQs to approved and potential suppliers/subcontractors and follow up on quotations. Source, evaluate, and develop reliable local and international suppliers for electrical materials and equipment. Prepare and review technical and commercial bid comparisons and coordinate with the Technical Office, Site, QA/QC, and Project teams for technical evaluations and approvals. Ensure that suppliers' offers comply with project specifications, approved vendor lists, applicable standards, and client/consultant requirements. Negotiate prices, payment terms, warranties, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions to achieve the best value for the project.<br>Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.5–9 years of relevant experience, with a strong background in electrical procurement within construction, MEP, EPC, or large-scale infrastructure projects. Proven experience handling procurement for large-scale construction projects. Strong knowledge of electrical materials, equipment, suppliers, and market conditions. Strong ability to understand and interpret electrical drawings, BOQs, specifications, and material submittals. Experience in technical and commercial evaluation of suppliers and subcontractors.
