We build and deploy AI products for governments and enterprises across the GCC, including Velents Agent (voice, text and observer agents for contact centers) and Safha (Arabic document intelligence). We are headquartered in Riyadh, with teams in Cairo, Hamburg and Bahrain, and we go to market alongside partners such as ELM, IBM, Red Hat and stc.

Our customers do not want a demo. They want an AI system running inside their environment, on their data, in their dialect, and delivering results by next quarter. That is this role.
The Role
As an AI Solution Engineer, you work directly with our customers. You do not hand work off to a delivery team after the sale. You embed with the customer's people, learn how their operations actually run, and ship production AI into their stack: their telephony, their CRM, their ERP, their on-prem data center.

You do the work of an engineer, a consultant and a product owner at the same time. You write the code. You sit in the room with the director of customer care or the head of digital transformation. Then you come back and tell our product team what the next ten customers will need.
What You'll Do

Own deployments end to end. Take a customer from scoping and proof of concept to a production go-live with measurable outcomes. This covers architecture, integration, configuration, testing and handover.

Build at the customer edge. Write production-grade integrations with systems like Genesys, Avaya, Oracle Fusion, SAP, IBM FileNet, Salesforce and custom government platforms. Build APIs, connectors, data pipelines and agent workflows that make our products fit each customer's reality.

Design agentic solutions. Turn messy business processes into AI agents that work: voice and chat agents, RAG over Arabic documents, tool-using agents, human-in-the-loop review, and QA and analytics with our Observer agent.

Deploy in sovereign environments. Ship into on-prem, air-gapped and in-Kingdom cloud environments (OpenShift, Kubernetes, VMware), while meeting PDPL, NCA and data residency requirements.

Make Arabic work. Tune prompts, evaluation sets and flows for Saudi, Gulf, Egyptian and Levantine dialects as well as MSA, and measure quality with real customer data instead of benchmarks.

Lead technical pre-sales. Run discovery workshops, build tailored POCs in days rather than months, write solution architectures and technical proposal sections for RFPs and Etimad tenders, and answer the hard questions from the customer's CTO.

Be the voice of the field. Turn repeated customer patterns into reusable components, playbooks and product requirements. If you build the same thing three times, it should become part of the product.

Enable partners. Work alongside partner engineering teams (ELM, IBM, Red Hat, system integrators) so they can deliver Velents solutions at scale.

What You Bring

4+ years of software engineering experience, with real production systems shipped, preferably in a customer-facing role (forward deployed engineer, solutions engineer, solutions architect or technical consultant).

Strong Python and/or TypeScript. You are comfortable with REST and event-driven APIs, SQL, Docker and Kubernetes, and Linux.

Hands-on experience building with LLMs: prompt design, RAG, embeddings and vector stores, function and tool calling, agent frameworks, and evaluation. You know where LLMs fail and how to design around those failures.

Enterprise integration experience. You have connected systems that were never designed to talk to each other.

The ability to explain a system architecture to an engineer and its business value to an executive in the same meeting.

Native or fluent Arabic and fluent English. You will work in both, in writing and in the room.

High ownership and comfort with ambiguity. You figure out what needs to happen and make it happen without waiting to be told.

Willingness to travel and to spend extended periods on-site with customers.

Strong Plus

Experience in contact center technology (CCaaS, IVR, SIP and telephony, Genesys or Avaya) or speech AI (ASR, TTS, voice agents).

Document AI experience: OCR, document classification and extraction, ECM platforms.

Experience delivering to Saudi or GCC government entities, or familiarity with Vision 2030 digital programs, Etimad, NCA and PDPL.

Experience with on-prem LLM serving (vLLM, open-weight models, GPU infrastructure).

A background at a startup, or as a founding engineer.

Why Join

You will see your code running inside some of the most important institutions in the region, often within weeks of writing it.

You will work at the intersection of frontier AI and the Arabic language, where most problems are still unsolved.

You will have direct exposure to customers, partners and leadership, with a large influence on product direction.

You will join a small, senior team with high trust and no bureaucracy.

We offer a competitive package, equity, and a clear growth path into Solutions Architecture or Engineering Leadership.

About the job

Cosmic AC is Tether Data's GPU compute and managed inference platform: GPU containers, managed inference endpoints and platform observability, delivered as a self-hosted package on Kubernetes, with a control plane written in JavaScript. The platform is expanding from orchestrating workloads on a managed cluster to owning the full stack on bare-metal GPU infrastructure: a managed Slurm scheduling layer for internal research and model-training teams first, and our own Kubernetes control plane for inference tenancy after that.

The Technical Lead owns the architecture and delivery of that stack and leads the engineering team building it: about twelve engineers across backend, frontend, DevOps, QA and documentation, distributed across Europe and India. The role reports to the Senior Technical Product Manager for Cosmic AC, who owns scope, sequencing and partner commitments; the Technical Lead owns architecture, implementation and delivery plans, line-manages the engineers, and is the primary technical interface to our infrastructure partners.

This is a hands-on infrastructure leadership role with a fixed delivery window in its first six months. It is not a research role, not a pure Kubernetes SRE role, and not a management-only role.

Responsibilities

Architecture. Own the platform architecture end to end: architecture proposals, high-level and low-level designs, driven through review and kept current as the baseline.

Team leadership. Lead and line-manage a distributed team across backend (Node.js), frontend (React), DevOps, QA and documentation: engineering standards, code and design review, release gates, one-to-ones, growth and performance input.

Bare-metal GPU scheduling layer. Design, build and operate a managed Slurm service for research users: controller and accounting, partitions and login nodes, node onboarding and acceptance, driver and CUDA baseline and upgrades, stalled-job and node-health detection, drain and autohealing, storage visibility, identity and isolation.

Kubernetes control plane and GPU enablement. Own cluster bootstrap and lifecycle on partner-provided bare metal, NVIDIA GPU Operator and Network Operator, VM-based GPU isolation (KubeVirt and VFIO), and day-2 operations: upgrades, backup and recovery, node replacement.

Managed inference at scale. Serving architecture, multi-GPU and multi-node parallelism, autoscaling, request routing and endpoint reliability; confidential-compute-capable capacity for sensitive workloads.

Observability and operations. Metrics, logging, alerting and SLOs across control plane, GPU fleet and application tiers; incident response and post-incident review; an on-call model a small team can sustain.

Partners and vendors. Primary technical interface to infrastructure partners and vendors: turning requirements into written specifications and acceptance tests, running escalations to closure, and providing technical input to capacity planning and hardware sourcing.

Internal consumers. Work directly with research, model-training and product teams to translate their workloads into platform requirements, and broker capacity when it is short.

Hiring. Complete the platform team and set the technical bar for the engineers who join it.

Job requirements

Must have

Experience. Eight or more years of hands-on engineering, including at least three leading teams that build and operate infrastructure platforms other teams depend on. Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Slurm at scale, hands on. Has run slurmctld and slurmdbd for real users: partitions, QoS and priority, accounting, prolog and epilog, node health scripting, upgrades with jobs on the system. Ideally has operated an HPC or GPU training cluster for a research population.

GPU fleet operation on bare metal. NVIDIA driver and CUDA lifecycle, Fabric Manager and NVSwitch behaviour on SXM systems, DCGM-based health and utilisation, MIG, node burn-in and acceptance.

High-performance interconnects. InfiniBand fabric and subnet configuration, RDMA, SR-IOV, and diagnosing multi-node NCCL performance problems.

Linux systems depth. Kernel modules and drivers, PCIe passthrough and vfio-pci, cgroups and namespaces, performance tuning for compute-heavy workloads.

Production Kubernetes operation, not just deployment: control plane, upgrades, CNI and CSI, operators and custom controllers, multi-tenancy design.

HPC storage and data movement. Shared filesystems (VAST, Lustre, NFS), node-local NVMe caching, distributing large model weights and datasets across many nodes.

Observability and operations. Prometheus, Grafana and Loki or equivalents, SLOs, incident response and post-incident review.

Working fluency in JavaScript and Node.js sufficient to review a control plane, CLI and worker services with authority and to make architecture decisions on them. Not a feature-development requirement.

A shipped platform with real users.
Job description

About The Role
Today, roughly 40% of all transactions on the Egyptian Exchange flow through Thndr. Every one of those trades has to be funded, and every pound, dirham, or soon riyal, a user makes has to be money they can actually take back out. Money has to move, into accounts, out to banks, between our own books and the market, accurately and on time, every single time. That is the Money Movements team.

We move more than 1 billion EGP every day across hundreds of thousands of individual movements, and the figure we care about most is how many of them go wrong, which we work relentlessly to keep as close to zero as possible. We connect directly to banks, payment gateways, and payment providers, settle with the exchanges and asset managers, and write and maintain our own backoffice across Egypt and the UAE. Underpinning all of it is our own in-house ledger, built on TigerBeetle, a bleeding-edge financial database that gives us the correctness and throughput this domain demands. We do this across two markets today, with Saudi Arabia coming next.

This is a sensitive system. When money is in motion, uptime and correctness are not nice-to-haves, they are the entire job. A delayed settlement, a double credit, or a balance that does not reconcile is never just a bug, it is real money belonging to real people. You would be working alongside some of our strongest engineers on problems that are unusually hard and unusually consequential, owning systems that the rest of the platform quietly depends on.

What You'll Do
• Design, build, and operate the services that move money in and out of Thndr, including deposits, withdrawals, settlement, and reconciliation, across Egypt and the UAE.

• Own the correctness and reliability of these systems end to end. Money that flows through your code has to land in the right place, in the right amount, every time.

• Build and maintain integrations with banks, payment gateways, payment providers, and asset managers, and handle the messy realities that come with them: timeouts, partial failures, retries, and the occasional provider that goes down at the worst possible moment.

• Raise the bar on quality and operational discipline, with strong observability, sensible on-call, thorough testing, and systems that fail safely when something goes wrong.

• Partner closely with our finance and operations teams, and help bring the same connectivity and rigor to Saudi Arabia as we expand.

What You'll Need
• A strong track record of designing, shipping, and operating reliable backend systems in production, used by large numbers of people.

• Real depth in distributed systems, and a clear understanding of what it takes to keep them correct under load and under failure.

• Comfort owning systems end to end, from design through production and on-call. You care not just about writing the code, but about how it behaves at 3am.

• Familiarity with our stack, or the confidence to get there quickly: Python, C#, .NET Core, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, RabbitMQ, and Redis.

• A high bar for correctness and operational discipline. You understand what it means to run a system where a mistake has real consequences for real people.

• A clear, candid communicator who can hold their own with other engineers and work closely with the finance and operations teams who rely on what you build.

• Strong debugging skills. When a balance is off by 50 cents across a million transactions, you can find the real cause, not just a quick fix.

Who Are We?
Thndr was founded on a bold dream to democratize access to investing through smart tech and human-centric design. This is simply our way of saying we give anyone with a smartphone the simple and easy access they need to preserve and grow their wealth. At the same time, we’re shaping the future of investing while actively driving the economies we serve by promoting local investment products.

History has shown that investing is the single greatest way to build long-term wealth, but before Thndr, only a very small percentage of people had access to it due to:

High barriers to entry — In the form of excessive minimum account balances, complex, outdated onboarding, and low financial literacy.

Irrelevant experience — Catered toward expert traders and financial specialists, therefore alienating the majority of the population.

Fragmented offering — Investment products were not gathered in a single, intuitive outlet.

We don't just talk about change, we deliver it. Here's a glimpse into our impact so far:

5.5 million app downloads

EGP 1B+ average daily traded value across 2025

#1 digital investing platform in Egypt for the third consecutive year

76% of users are first-time investors

40% of our users come from outside of capital cities and have previously had limited access to financial institutions

Building on the success of our core platform, we are continuing to change culture and break down barriers by launching Rumble, the subscription-based investment recommendations platform.

Rumble was born with the vision to empower everyday individuals to build wealth confidently and intelligently through access to timely and in-depth advice from the industry’s top experts.

Going beyond traditional investment advice, it offers long and short-term investment recommendations and financial content through engaging articles and videos that guide users on their financial journey and maximize their returns.

At Thndr, we're looking for people driven by our mission to help us democratize investing across the MENA region.

Envision Employment Solutions is currently looking for a Credit Risk Director for one of our partners, a leading Digital Bank!

Job Summary

We are building a digital bank from the ground up, and credit is its beating heart, the discipline that decides who we lend to, how fast we say yes, and how soundly we grow. As Head of Credit Risk, you will design and own the entire credit risk architecture for a bank that underwrites in seconds, not days, and that makes the overwhelming majority of its decisions through models rather than manual review. You will set the appetite that defines how boldly the Bank grows and the guardrails that keep that growth safe, profitable, and fully aligned with CBE expectations. This is a rare opportunity to write the playbook rather than inherit one, fusing deep credit craft with AI/ML decisioning at scale, and building a portfolio that is both ambitious in reach and disciplined in quality.

Responsibilities

Strategy, Policy & Risk Appetite

Own the credit risk strategy, policy suite, risk appetite framework, and governance model across all retail and MSME lending products, fully aligned with the CRO's risk strategy and CBE regulatory expectations.

Underwriting & Automated Decisioning

Define, validate, and govern the underwriting policy, credit scoring models, and AI/ML decisioning engines that power real-time, straight-through lending, balancing approval rates, expected loss, and customer experience. Establish a robust model governance and validation lifecycle for all scorecards and ML decisioning models, covering development standards, independent validation, monitoring, challenger frameworks, and explainability.

Portfolio Quality, Provisioning & Capital

Monitor portfolio quality continuously and run the Early Warning Indicator (EWI) framework, escalating material and emerging risks to the CRO with decision-ready analysis. Govern IFRS 9 expected credit loss (ECL) staging, models, and provisioning, and ensure the credit book's contribution to capital adequacy and stress testing is sound under the Basel framework.

Collections, Recoveries & Fraud

Set and optimize the digital-first collections and recoveries strategy, including segmentation and champion/challenger treatment paths, and oversee credit-related fraud detection, prevention, and decisioning controls.

Governance, Committees & Controls

Represent Credit Risk in the Board Risk Committee (BRC), Risk & Compliance Committee (RCC), and product approval committees, and manage the policy exception framework with full transparency.

People, Leadership & Stakeholders

Build, lead, and develop a high-calibre credit risk team, and partner closely with Product, Data Science, Technology, Finance, and Business to embed sound credit thinking into a fast-moving build.

Desired Candidate Profile

12+ years in credit risk within banking or financial services, with a proven track record across the full credit lifecycle (acquisition, underwriting, portfolio management, collections, and recoveries).

Prior experience as Head of Credit Risk or an equivalent senior leadership role, with proven ownership of credit policy, appetite, and governance.

Direct CBE regulatory experience, including deep working knowledge of CBE retail lending and provisioning regulations.

Strong, applied knowledge of IFRS 9 (ECL and staging) and the Basel credit risk capital framework.

Demonstrated experience operating in or building automated, digital credit decisioning environments, including scorecards and model-driven lending.

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, finance, economics, or business discipline.

Excellent senior-stakeholder communication, with a record of presenting to and influencing board-level and executive committees.

Preferred

Digital bank, neobank, or fintech lending background, ideally in an emerging-market context.

Hands-on familiarity with AI/ML credit decisioning, model governance, and explainability practices.

Master's degree (MBA, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, or related).

Professional certification such as FRM, CFA, PRM, or equivalent; complementary credentials (e.g., ACAMS for financial-crime exposure, CIA for audit familiarity) viewed favorably.

Experience with credit decisioning platforms, scorecard tooling, and analytics environments (decision engines, SAS/Python/R, SQL, and BI or portfolio-monitoring tools).

Experience standing up a credit risk function from scratch or through a major transformation.

Technical Competencies

Expert credit risk management across the full lifecycle, from origination strategy to recoveries.

Credit policy, risk appetite, and governance framework design and ownership.

Scorecard development and oversight, plus AI/ML decisioning model governance, validation, monitoring, and explainability.

IFRS 9 ECL modeling and provisioning, and Basel credit risk capital and stress-testing fundamentals.

Portfolio analytics fluency: vintage analysis, roll and flow rates, loss forecasting, and EWI design.

Collections, recoveries, and fraud risk strategy in a digital, automated context.

Strong data and analytics literacy, comfortable interrogating models and data directly, not only consuming summaries.

Working command of the CBE regulatory landscape and emerging-market retail credit dynamics.

Behavioral Competencies

Build-from-scratch mindset: energised by ambiguity and white space; creates structure, standards, and momentum where none yet exist.

Decisive judgement under speed: balances rigour with the pace a digital bank demands, making sound calls with incomplete information.

Stakeholder influence: earns trust across the C-suite, board committees, regulators, and first-line partners; challenges constructively and aligns competing priorities.

Commercial balance: protects the bank while enabling responsible, profitable growth, a leader who frames how to lend safely, not simply when to say no.

Leadership and talent builder: attracts, develops, and retains strong people; sets a high bar with warmth and clarity.

Integrity and resilience: owns outcomes, communicates transparently, holds the line on controls and ethics, and thrives amid change and shifting priorities.

Envision Employment Solutions is currently looking for a Credit Risk Director for one of our partners, a leading Digital Bank!
Job Summary We are building a digital bank from the ground up, and credit is its beating heart, the discipline that decides who we lend to, how fast we say yes, and how soundly we grow.
Responsibilities Strategy, Policy & Risk Appetite Own the credit risk strategy, policy suite, risk appetite framework, and governance model across all retail and MSME lending products, fully aligned with the CRO's risk strategy and CBE regulatory expectations.
Underwriting & Automated Decisioning Define, validate, and govern the underwriting policy, credit scoring models, and AI/ML decisioning engines that power real-time, straight-through lending, balancing approval rates, expected loss, and customer experience.
Establish a robust model governance and validation lifecycle for all scorecards and ML decisioning models, covering development standards, independent validation, monitoring, challenger frameworks, and explainability.
Portfolio Quality, Provisioning & Capital Monitor portfolio quality continuously and run the Early Warning Indicator (EWI) framework, escalating material and emerging risks to the CRO with decision-ready analysis.
Govern IFRS 9 expected credit loss (ECL) staging, models, and provisioning, and ensure the credit book's contribution to capital adequacy and stress testing is sound under the Basel framework.
Collections, Recoveries & Fraud Set and optimize the digital-first collections and recoveries strategy, including segmentation and champion/challenger treatment paths, and oversee credit-related fraud detection, prevention, and decisioning controls.
Governance, Committees & Controls Represent Credit Risk in the Board Risk Committee (BRC), Risk & Compliance Committee (RCC), and product approval committees, and manage the policy exception framework with full transparency.
People, Leadership & Stakeholders Build, lead, and develop a high-calibre credit risk team, and partner closely with Product, Data Science, Technology, Finance, and Business to embed sound credit thinking into a fast-moving build.
Essential 12+ years in credit risk within banking or financial services, with a proven track record across the full credit lifecycle (acquisition, underwriting, portfolio management, collections, and recoveries).
Preferred Digital bank, neobank, or fintech lending background, ideally in an emerging-market context.
Hands-on familiarity with AI/ML credit decisioning, model governance, and explainability practices.
Master's degree (MBA, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, or related).
Professional certification such as FRM, CFA, PRM, or equivalent; complementary credentials (e.
g., ACAMS for financial-crime exposure, CIA for audit familiarity) viewed favorably.
Experience with credit decisioning platforms, scorecard tooling, and analytics environments (decision engines, SAS/Python/R, SQL, and BI or portfolio-monitoring tools).
Experience standing up a credit risk function from scratch or through a major transformation.
Technical Competencies Expert credit risk management across the full lifecycle, from origination strategy to recoveries.
Credit policy, risk appetite, and governance framework design and ownership.
Scorecard development and oversight, plus AI/ML decisioning model governance, validation, monitoring, and explainability.
IFRS 9 ECL modeling and provisioning, and Basel credit risk capital and stress-testing fundamentals.
Portfolio analytics fluency: vintage analysis, roll and flow rates, loss forecasting, and EWI design.
Collections, recoveries, and fraud risk strategy in a digital, automated context.
Strong data and analytics literacy, comfortable interrogating models and data directly, not only consuming summaries.
Working command of the CBE regulatory landscape and emerging-market retail credit dynamics.
Behavioral Competencies Build-from-scratch mindset: energised by ambiguity and white space; creates structure, standards, and momentum where none yet exist.
