<span>We are seeking an experienced Resident Storage & Backup Engineer to be based on-site at our client's premises, responsible for the day-to-day administration, monitoring, and support of enterprise storage and backup infrastructure.<br> The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise across the Dell EMC storage portfolio — including PowerMax, Data Domain, PowerScale, ECS, and PowerFlex — along with strong VMware virtualization knowledge and solid understanding of SAN/Ethernet fabric networking.<br> This is a critical infrastructure role ensuring data availability, performance, and resilience for the client's environment.<br> Key Responsibilities Administer, configure, and support Dell EMC PowerMax 8500 & 2500 storage arrays, ensuring optimal performance, capacity planning, and availability.<br> Manage and maintain Data Domain and Cyber Recovery Solution (CRS) environments, including backup job monitoring, troubleshooting, and isolated recovery vault operations.<br> Administer PowerScale (scale-out NAS) environments, including cluster health monitoring, capacity management, and performance tuning.<br> Support and maintain ECS (Elastic Cloud Storage) object storage infrastructure.<br> Administer PowerFlex software-defined infrastructure, including deployment, scaling, and performance optimization.<br> Provide hands-on support for VMware environments , including vSphere, vCenter, Aria (formerly vRealize), VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), NSX-T, vRealize Automation (vRA), and vRealize Orchestrator (vRO).<br> Manage and troubleshoot SAN and Ethernet fabric connectivity, zoning, and performance across the storage environment.<br> Support VDI environments (Citrix) with a focus on storage performance and backend infrastructure health.<br> Monitor daily backup and replication jobs, proactively identifying and resolving failures within SLA windows.<br> Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and lifecycle management across all storage platforms.<br> Collaborate with infrastructure, virtualization, network, and security teams to ensure integrated, resilient IT operations.<br> Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions.<br> Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution.<br> Act as the primary on-site point of contact for storage and backup-related incidents, escalations, and change requests.<br> Required Skills & Experience Proven hands-on experience with Dell EMC PowerMax 8500 & 2500 arrays.<br> Strong experience with Data Domain and Cyber Recovery Solution (CRS) .<br> Hands-on expertise with PowerScale , ECS , and PowerFlex .<br> Strong working knowledge of VMware products — vSphere, vCenter, Aria, VCF, NSX-T, vRA, and vRO (very important).<br> Solid understanding of SAN and Ethernet fabric design, zoning, and troubleshooting.<br> Experience supporting VDI environments , preferably Citrix .<br> Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently in a resident/on-site capacity.<br> Excellent communication and documentation skills.<br> Willingness to work on-site full-time at the client location.<br></span> </div>
