Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Architect Technical Office Engineer based in Qesm 1st 6 October. The role involves preparing, reviewing, and coordinating architectural shop drawings in alignment with project specifications and multidisciplinary design requirements. The Senior Architect Technical Office Engineer will manage BOQs, perform quantity take-offs, and collaborate with civil and electrical engineering teams to ensure technical accuracy and constructability. Responsibilities include coordinating with site teams, consultants, and contractors, resolving design and documentation issues, and ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements. The role also includes preparing technical reports, tracking design changes, supporting tender documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement of technical office processes. Qualifications Strong proficiency in preparing and reviewing architectural shop drawings, ensuring coordination with structural and MEP disciplines. Ability to develop and manage BOQs, perform accurate quantity take-offs, and support quantity surveying activities. Solid understanding of Civil Engineering principles as they relate to architectural design and construction detailing. Working knowledge of Electrical Engineering coordination requirements within architectural drawings and technical documentation. Experience in quantity surveying practices, cost estimation, and supporting tender and contract documentation. Proficiency in relevant design and office software (e.g., Auto CAD, Revit or similar BIM tools, MS Office). Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a closely related field; professional certification or registration is an advantage. Several years of experience in a technical office or design coordination role within the construction or engineering sector. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to solve technical and coordination issues effectively. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with site teams, consultants, and stakeholders.
