The Project Manager is responsible for the full operational readiness, productivity, and lifecycle maintenance of a heavy equipment fleet of 80+ units (excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, compactors, tipper trucks, and support vehicles) supporting a large-scale earthworks project at Sukari Gold Mine (SGM), Marsa Alam. The role owns equipment availability and utilization targets, workshop and maintenance operations, spare parts and inventory management, HSE compliance for plant operations, and coordination between operations, maintenance, and site production teams. The successful candidate must be a qualified Mechanical Engineer with hands-on heavy equipment maintenance and workshop management experience.<br>Key Responsibilities Fleet Operations & Production Support• Plan and coordinate daily deployment of 80+ heavy equipment units across excavation, hauling, grading, and compaction activities to meet earthworks production targets.• Monitor equipment utilization, idle time, and productivity (m³/hour, cycle times) and drive continuous improvement in fleet efficiency.• Coordinate with site engineers and production teams to align equipment allocation with the project schedule and daily/weekly work plans. Ensure optimal equipment-to-task matching (e.g., excavator-truck pairing) to minimize costs and maximize output. Maintenance Management• Own the preventive maintenance (PM) program for the entire fleet, ensuring PM schedules, service intervals, and OEM guidelines are followed for all equipment types and tipper trucks.• Minimize unplanned breakdowns through predictive/condition-based maintenance practices and root-cause analysis of recurring failures.• Set and monitor fleet KPIs: mechanical availability, MTBF (mean time between failures), MTTR (mean time to repair), and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).• Approve major repair scopes, overhaul plans, and decisions on repair vs. replace for aging units.• Maintain equipment maintenance records, service history, and digital/manual maintenance tracking systems for all 80+ units. Workshop Management• Manage day-to-day operations of the maintenance workshop, including workshop layout, work bays, mobile maintenance units, and field service teams.• Supervise mechanics, technicians, electricians, welders, and workshop support staff; plan manpower and shift coverage against workload.• Ensure the workshop is equipped with the right tools, lifting equipment, diagnostic tools, and calibrated instruments.• Implement workshop HSE standards, 5S/housekeeping, and safe systems of work (lockout-tagout, working at height on equipment, hot works).• Oversee mobile workshop/field service response for breakdowns occurring away from the main yard. Spare Parts, Inventory & Vendor Management• Forecast spare parts requirements based on fleet size, usage, and maintenance plans; maintain optimal stock levels to avoid downtime while controlling inventory cost.• Manage relationships with OEM dealers, parts suppliers, tire suppliers, and subcontracted repair/overhaul vendors.• Review and approve purchase requisitions for parts, consumables (oils, filters, tires), and outsourced repair services.• Negotiate service contracts, warranty claims, and extended maintenance agreements with equipment suppliers. HSE & Compliance• Ensure all equipment operates in compliance with project HSE requirements, client (e.g., mining/industrial client) HSE standards, and Egyptian labor and traffic regulations.• Ensure operators hold valid licenses/certifications and that equipment inspections (daily pre-use checks, periodic statutory inspections) are enforced.• Lead incident investigations related to equipment failure or accidents and implement corrective/preventive actions.• Maintain compliance documentation for equipment certifications, insurance, and registration. <li>Assist with the bi-annual talent review process in conjunction with the department heads and ensure associated documentation is maintained to the required standard</li>
<li>Facilitate the performance management cycle from probation reviews, annual performance reviews, development plans and goal setting as well as on the job training for department heads and in turn their teams</li>
<li>Ensure departments have adequate departmental trainers, and these are well utilised</li>
<li>For all supervisory and managerial positions have a transparent development programme in place in conjunction with the people and culture leader</li>

<h4>Employee engagement and communications</h4>
<p>Strive to increase employees’ engagement by promoting a positive work environment where each team member is informed and proactive about the overall business goals. Ensure the consistent delivery of business and associate information with transparency so that each team member understands how they contribute to the company’s success. This will include working on the Employee Engagement Survey (CultureAmp) and People & Culture Audit.</p>
<p>Ensure the Employee Engagement Survey Champions for the hotel/departmental action plans in order to increase employees engagement and improve engagement scores year on year.</p>
<p>Represent the organization as an exemplary ambassador of the Ennismore culture.</p>
<h4>Finance</h4>

<li>Plan the activities and understand how the contribution of the role will impact the performance of the hotel(s)</li>
<li>Act on behalf of the business to work through complex situations and reduce risk, interpreting and implementing company policies and employment legislation as appropriate</li>

<h4>Qualifications</h4>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree from a reputable hospitality or business school preferred in hospitality or business administration, psychology, education, human resources management (or equivalent)</li>
<li>Minimum 7 years of total experience ideally with strong operations background</li>
<li>At least 4 years of experience in a leadership role</li>
<li>High degree of professionalism with strong understanding of hotel operations and business acumen</li>
<li>Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language</li>
<li>Strong working knowledge of digital tools</li>
<li>Strong leadership, interpersonal and training skills</li>
<li>Excellent communication and customer contact skills</li>
<li>Results and service oriented with an eye for details</li>
<li>Ability to multi-task, work well in stressful and high-pressure situations</li>
<li>A motivator and self-starter</li>
<li>Well-presented and professionally always groomed</li>
