Role Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical installation and site operations for our upcoming industrial construction projects. In this role, you will be the driving force behind our mechanical site teams, ensuring that complex installations are executed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. Drawing on your robust industrial background, you will take ownership of site coordination, manpower deployment, material control, and direct client communication, ensuring all project milestones are met efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Site & Installation Management Lead and oversee all mechanical installation activities on-site, specifically tailored to heavy industrial environments. Ensure the seamless coordination of mechanical works with other disciplines (civil, structural, and electrical) to prevent clashes and sequence delays. Develop and implement effective material control systems to ensure equipment and supplies are procured, delivered, and stored securely without disrupting the project critical path. Manage manpower allocation, balancing crew sizes and skill sets against daily productivity targets to optimize labor costs and efficiency.
Productivity, Quality & Safety Drive site productivity by establishing clear workflows, identifying bottlenecks early, and implementing corrective measures to keep the project on schedule. Enforce strict adherence to Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) standards, ensuring all mechanical installations comply with project specifications, codes, and industry best practices. Champion a zero-harm safety culture. Enforce all HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies, lead safety briefings, and ensure all site personnel operate in a safe environment.
Stakeholder & Client Communication Act as the primary technical point of contact for the client on-site, building trust through transparency and technical competence. Lead progress meetings, providing accurate, data-driven updates on mechanical milestones, productivity rates, and material status. Manage and resolve technical queries, RFIs (Requests for Information), and submittals promptly to keep the project moving.
Qualifications & Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Experience: 7years of proven, relevant construction experience, with a strong mandatory background in the industrial sector (e.g., manufacturing plants, power generation, oil & gas, or heavy infrastructure).
Core Competencies:Deep expertise in large-scale mechanical installations, piping, and equipment erection. Strong track record of site coordination, material logistics, and manpower control. Demonstrated ability to balance productivity pushes with uncompromising quality and safety standards. Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the proven ability to manage client relationships and present technical information clearly. Technical Skills: Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Auto CAD, MS Project, Primavera P6, and standard MS Office suite).
