Job Summary:
The Purchasing Manager will oversee all procurement activities within the consulting engineering company, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality acquisition of goods and services.
This role requires strong negotiation skills, vendor management expertise, and alignment with company policies. The Purchasing Manager will report directly to the Administration Manager and collaborate with project teams to support operational and engineering needs.
Responsibilities:
Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures aligned with company goals. Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and quality. Contract Negotiation: Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules to optimize cost savings and efficiency. Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels and coordinate with departments to avoid shortages or excess. Compliance Oversight: Ensure all purchasing activities comply with legal, ethical, and company standards. Reporting: Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and cost analysis for HR & Admin Manager review. Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, finance, and project management teams to align procurement with project requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Minimum 15 years of experience in Purchasing, preferably within engineering or construction industries. Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and vendor negotiation. Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software.
