Roles & Responsibilities
Main responsibilities
- Lead the discipline project team to ensure the effective execution of Instrumentation and Automation activities
- Verify the accuracy of calculations and analyses from both technical and procedural perspectives
- Ensure compliance with project philosophies, specifications, standards, laws, safety requirements and best practices
- Apply lessons learned from previous projects to design and execution activities
- Support the Engineering Manager in finalising the project execution plan and during cost estimation activities
- Define and implement technical solutions in line with project objectives
- Manage outsourced engineering services and report performance to the Engineering Manager
- Prepare, verify and issue discipline and multidisciplinary documents, coordinating interfaces and information exchange with other PDLs
- Ensure the correct use of standards, best practices, IT tools and the Quality Management System throughout the project lifecycle
- Attend client meetings as required
- Ensure full compliance with national HSE legislation and company HSE policies, promoting a safe and healthy workplace
Skills and experience required
- University degree in Engineering
- Extensive experience in Automation and Instrumentation engineering for oil and gas facilities
- Experience across all project phases (feasibility studies, FEED, detailed engineering and construction supervision)
- Experience in both onshore and offshore projects
- Strong experience with automation systems, including SCADA, PLC, DCS and ESD systems
- Strong knowledge of CONVAL calculation software
- Experience in renewable energy is a plus
