Key Account Manager

  • Identify target customers by developing clear selection criteria for key accounts customers and maintain account profile for each customer to optimize channel output in terms of sales, logistics and service level.
  • Develop products category within channel by better understanding of category performance and understanding of customer needs to lead category growth in modern trade channel and act as category captain.
  • Negotiate long term agreements by developing abiding contracts for both company & customer to secure visibility and volume growth targets per account and support company differentiating position as a category captain.
  • Manage accounts receivable by implementing the company credit policy to ensure level of   credit exposure in line with company budget.
  • Ensure superior customer service across accounts by developing and implementing effective and efficient supply planning to drive low cost supply with high customer service parameters. This includes pre order process, minimum order quantity, returns policy and merchandising service.
  • Implement annual activity calendar by developing tailored programs to individual account that is in line with brand strategy to influence consumer purchase decision and fosters brand image.
  • Evaluate brand performance and activities success / failure by setting clear objectives and measures per activity and account to ensure learning obtained and rectification actions are taken for future planned activities.
  • Monitor competitors’ performance, by developing competitor watch report and provide company management with new business opportunities to ensure timely counterattack actions and ensure leadership of category within channel.
  • Participates in the company’s recruitment, training and succession planning programs, by developing the job profiles, training needs and career paths for his / her team to ensure competent team within his / her area of supervision.
  • Plan, monitor, corrects and appraise the performance of the sales team, by implementing the company performance management system to ensure all team members are effective in their job roles.

Minimum Qualifications:BA in relevant field (Business, commerce, economics…etc)Negotiation, presentation, Analytical, planning, and organizational skillsMinimum Experience:5 - 7 years of experience out of which 2 years minimum in similar position
