Al Hayat Tenders (AHT) is seeking a senior, hands on consultant to support commercial strategy, business development, and bid execution for EPC and EPCM oil and gas projects. This is a bid execution role, not a sales position. The consultant will work directly on live tenders, supporting pricing strategy, man hour estimation, manufacturer selection, risk definition, and teaming or JV structures to deliver competitive and bankable bids. The role requires strong exposure to refinery and petrochemical projects, including both brownfield and greenfield scopes, with the ability to make informed commercial and technical decisions during the bid phase. Key Responsibilities Commercial Strategy and Bid Execution Define commercial and pricing strategy for EPC and EPCM tenders Develop, review, and validate man hour estimates and pricing models Support preparation and review of commercial offers and cost breakdowns Ensure alignment between technical scope, execution strategy, and pricing Support bid positioning to maximize competitiveness while managing risk Refinery and Petrochemical Expertise Actively support bids related to refinery and petrochemical projects, including brownfield and greenfield scopes Understand execution constraints, integration risks, and operational challenges specific to brownfield projects Understand full scope development and execution risks specific to greenfield projects Advise on execution strategy differences between brownfield and greenfield tenders Manufacturer and OEM Advisory Advise on manufacturer and OEM selection for each tender Demonstrate strong familiarity with oil and gas equipment and packages, including boilers, compressors, heat exchangers, pumps, and process equipment Evaluate manufacturers based on technical compliance, capacity, delivery schedule, quality, certifications, and past performance Identify risks related to manufacturing, lead times, logistics, and interface management Work directly with manufacturers during technical and commercial bid phases Teaming, Consortium, and JV Support Support structuring of teaming, consortium, and JV models for EPC and EPCM bids Advise on partner selection based on technical capability, commercial strength, and execution fit Define roles, responsibilities, and commercial interfaces between partners Support commercial negotiations and risk allocation within JV or consortium structures Cross Functional Coordination Work closely with Founder, technical teams, PMO, legal, and compliance functions during bids Participate in bid reviews, approval gates, and strategy discussions Support smooth handover from bid phase to project execution when required Mandatory Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Strong written and spoken English Minimum 12 years of experience in oil and gas projects Proven experience in EPC or EPCM commercial, bid, or proposal roles Direct, hands on involvement in successful oil and gas tenders Strong understanding of the oil and gas tendering process Proven exposure to refinery and petrochemical projects, both brownfield and greenfield Solid knowledge of manufacturers and OEMs active in the oil and gas sector Ability to clearly demonstrate real bid achievements, not theoretical experience Experience working with process engineering, project management, and proposal teams This Role Is Not Not a sales or lead generation role Not suitable for general business development profiles without EPC or EPCM bid experience Not suitable for coordination only or junior proposal profiles Why Join AHTDirect involvement in real, high value EPC and EPCM tenders Work closely with senior leadership and decision makers Strong influence on bid strategy, manufacturer selection, and risk definition Exposure to complex refinery and petrochemical projects Governance driven and execution focused environment
