Job Purpose
To strengthen the company's market position by developing and managing strategic relationships with key accounts and pharmacy chains, driving product accessibility, increasing market share, and ensuring the successful execution of account strategies. The role is responsible for identifying business opportunities, negotiating commercial agreements, and collaborating cross-functionally to achieve sustainable business growth within the pharmaceutical sector.
Key Responsibilities1. Key Account Management & Relationship Building• Develop, manage, and maintain long-term relationships with assigned key accounts, pharmacy chains, and strategic customers.• Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders and decision-makers to enhance customer satisfaction and business collaboration.• Strengthen product positioning and brand image across assigned accounts through effective account management strategies.• Act as the primary point of contact for key customers, ensuring timely resolution of business needs and concerns.
2. Business Development & Commercial Growth• Identify new business opportunities to increase product penetration, market share, and revenue growth.• Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with business objectives and commercial priorities.• Create and implement action plans targeting healthcare professionals and key decision-makers to maximize business opportunities.• Support national and regional initiatives that improve patient access to pharmaceutical products.
3. Commercial Negotiation & Account Planning• Lead the negotiation and execution of annual commercial agreements with pharmacy chains and key customers.• Ensure agreements deliver mutual value while supporting company profitability and strategic objectives.• Monitor contract implementation and ensure compliance with agreed commercial terms.• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize account performance and customer engagement.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration• Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Medical, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to execute strategic account plans.• Coordinate internal resources to ensure successful implementation of customer initiatives and promotional activities.• Support the alignment of commercial strategies across different business functions.
5. Performance Monitoring & Reporting• Monitor key account performance using sales data, market insights, and business KPIs.• Analyze account performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.• Maintain accurate customer information and account records within CRM systems while ensuring compliance with data privacy requirements.• Prepare regular business reports and provide recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
6. Continuous Improvement & Market Insights• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.• Recommend innovative commercial approaches to improve customer engagement and business performance.• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance account management effectiveness and operational excellence.
Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine, or a related field.
Experience• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.• At least 3 years of experience as a Key Account Manager within the pharmaceutical sector.• Proven experience managing key accounts, pharmacy chains, hospital accounts, or tender business.• Experience in commercial operations and pharmaceutical distribution channels is highly preferred.
