Solution Delivery Engineer / Dev Sec Ops Engineer About the Role We are looking for a Solution Delivery Engineer to join our team — a technically hands-on engineer focused on the reliable delivery, operation, and ongoing health of complex infrastructure and software solutions. Working alongside a dedicated Project Manager who owns customer communication and stakeholder engagement, your focus is on the technical execution: getting systems built, deployed, running, and continuously improved. This role suits someone who thrives in the detail — diagnosing hard problems, building robust delivery pipelines, and ensuring platforms are stable, secure, and well-understood.
Key Responsibilities Technical Delivery & Deployment Own the technical delivery of infrastructure and software solutions from build through to production handover Design, implement, and maintain delivery pipelines (CI/CD) using Git Ops workflows and tooling Manage infrastructure-as-code, version control, and change management practices across delivery workstreams Coordinate with engineering and product teams to align deployment artefacts, configuration, and release schedules Ensure deployments meet defined quality, security, and compliance standards before handover Infrastructure & Platform Engineering Build, configure, and maintain Linux environments (RHEL / Oracle Linux) and Kubernetes clusters (Rancher) Manage containerised workloads — images, registries, runtime configuration, and lifecycle management Configure and maintain cloud hosting environments: compute, networking, storage, and Kubernetes infrastructure Provide Windows Server administration support for legacy platform scope where required Operate confidently within OSS infrastructure ecosystems — understanding community tooling, release cadences, and the evolving landscape of OSS services aligned to the platform Platform & Solution Troubleshooting Own technical investigations across the full stack: hardware → OS → middleware → application → integrations Diagnose and resolve infrastructure, platform, and application issues in both delivery and production environments Work systematically to root cause, documenting findings, resolutions, and preventive actions Support escalated troubleshooting from operations and customer-facing teams, providing deep technical analysis System Monitoring & Observability Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability tooling across deployed platforms Define and track key health indicators; ensure operational visibility is in place at handover Respond to and investigate platform health events; drive improvements to reduce repeat incidents Contribute to operational runbooks and alerting standards Scripting, Automation & Git Ops Write and maintain automation scripts (Bash, Python, or similar) for deployment, configuration, and operational tasks Implement Git Ops practices for infrastructure and application configuration management Maintain pipeline tooling, ensuring delivery processes are repeatable, auditable, and version-controlled Identify and eliminate manual toil through targeted automation Security & Compliance Apply security and compliance requirements throughout delivery — hardening, scanning, patching, and remediation Ensure deployed platforms meet relevant security baselines; engage security stakeholders where gaps are identified Maintain awareness of CVE management, tooling, and compliance frameworks relevant to the platform Documentation & Continuous Improvement Produce clear technical documentation: architecture notes, deployment guides, runbooks, and operational handover packs Contribute to team knowledge bases; keep documentation current as platforms evolve Identify and drive process improvements across delivery pipelines, tooling, and operational practices Participate in post-delivery reviews, capturing lessons learned and feeding improvements back into the tea
