1. Material Requirement Planning (MRP)
- Review the production plan and translate it into material requirements using ERP/MRP systems.
- Maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOMs) and ensure data integrity in the planning system.
- Generate and monitor purchase requisitions or orders to ensure timely material delivery.
2. Inventory Management
- Maintain optimal stock levels to avoid material shortages or excess.
- Monitor and analyze inventory turnover, slow-moving, and obsolete materials.
- Coordinate with warehouse and procurement to manage safety stock and lead times.
3. Supplier Coordination
- Communicate material forecasts and schedules to suppliers.
- Follow up with suppliers on delivery performance and resolve supply delays or quality issues.
- Support supplier evaluation and improvement activities.
4. Production Support
- Ensure all required materials are available before production start dates.
- Prioritize and expedite material deliveries to avoid line stoppages.
- Coordinate material substitution or rescheduling when supply issues occur.
5. Data & System Management
- Maintain accurate records in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or similar).
- Track and report key planning KPIs such as OTIF (On-Time In-Full), inventory accuracy, and material shortage rate.
- Support continuous improvement projects in planning and supply chain processes.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Procurement, Production, Quality, Logistics, and Sales teams.
- Participate in daily/weekly production and supply review meetings.
- Provide input for Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).

- Material Forecast Accuracy
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.2–5 years of experience in material or production planning ( manufacturing or FMCG is a MUST).Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and Excel.Analytical, detail-oriented, and highly organized.Strong communication and problem-solving skills.APICS or similar supply chain certification is a plus.
