Position Overview:
The Governorate Doctors serve as critical focal points within the SHC
project, stationed strategically in various governorates across Egypt, including Alexandria,
Aswan, and Damietta. These doctors play a vital role in ensuring the effective delivery of
healthcare services to refugees and asylum seekers within public and private healthcare facilities
in their designated areas.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Facilitation of Healthcare Services:
o Act as the primary liaison between healthcare providers and the SHC project.
o Ensure smooth access to medical services for refugees and asylum seekers in both
public and private hospitals.
2. Scheduled Hospital Visits:
o Conduct regular and pre-scheduled visits to hospitals within their assigned
governorate.
o Monitor the quality and accessibility of healthcare services provided to refugees.
3. Communication Facilitation:
o Strengthen communication channels between healthcare facilities and the SHC
project.
o Address queries and concerns from hospital staff related to project protocols and
procedures.
4. Issue Resolution:
o Identify and resolve any challenges or obstacles that may arise during the
provision of healthcare services.
o Provide immediate support to address emergencies or critical incidents involving
refugees and asylum seekers.
5. Reporting and Documentation:
o Maintain detailed records of hospital visits, including challenges encountered and
solutions implemented.
o Submit regular reports to the central SHC management team to ensure alignment
with project goals and objectives.
Medical degree with active registration in Egypt. Extensive knowledge of healthcare systems in Egypt, particularly in public and privatehospital operations.Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to travel frequently within their assigned governorate and work collaborativelywith diverse stakeholders.
