Media, Institutional and Societal Communication Manager

Duties & Responsibilities

Purpose:

The manager plays a critical role in maintaining brand consistency, amplifying societal impact, and building a positive corporate image across all communication channels.


Roles & Responsibilities: -


Media relations:

Develop and implement media strategies to maximize Credit Agricole Egypt’s brand visibility leveraging key messages and milestones across 360 comms channels

Structure & present quarterly External Communication and management profiling plan, highlighting focus topics and key messages.

Organize and manage press conferences, media interviews, and events.

creates content for press releases, management talking points, speeches and institutional media engagement content.

Review and approve media materials, press releases, and campaign content developed by PR agencies.

Monitor media coverage and provide reports, including analysis of sentiment and visibility.

Monitor agency performance against KPIs and provide feedback for improvement to ensure delivering:

Daily press monitor (online & offline)

Classify/analyze CAE’s peers media statements and press release

Daily/weekly report to CAE’s senior management and relevant LOBs

Foster and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and media influencers to secure consistent and favorable media coverage.

Act as a spokesperson when needed and train senior executives for media interactions.

Timely update of News Section (news room) on CAE official website

Liaise with Group for press release planning, validation of content and post publishing report

Design annual Budget, present rationale and monitor on monthly basis.


2. Brand & Reputation Management:

Develop policy/guideline for Negative PR and crisis management scenarios and develop contingency plans to safeguard the bank reputation

Ensure corporate image and messaging remain consistent across all communication channels.

Collaborate with the digital communications team to ensure alignment across online platforms and social media

3. Institutional Communications:

Liaise with LOBs on key milestone and achievements as part of the quarterly communication plan.

Support the planning and communication of high-level events such as forums, conferences, and roundtable discussions.

Prepare speeches, briefing notes, and presentations for executives at institutional events.

Coordinate with the Legal and compliance teams to align communication strategies priorities.

Seek awards opportunities in alignment with strategic priorities in collaboration with relevant LOBs.

Assess and manage Corporate Sponsorships and corporate gifts.

4. Societal Communications:

Collaborate with Credit Agricole Egypt Foundation to design and promote societal impact initiatives.

Develop communication plans for the bank corporate social responsibility, ESG and Human centric activities to raise awareness and engagement.

Report on the impact of societal communications programs, including their alignment with the Bank’s strategic goals


Education & Experience:

  • 8+ years in corporate communications, media relations, or public relations, with proven experience in managing PR agencies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in institutional and societal communications, preferably within the banking or corporate sector.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English and Arabic is required; proficiency in French is an advantage.
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with media monitoring tools, CRM platforms, and digital communication tools.
