Senior Recruitment Consultant

Role Specific Functional Competencies

Sector Knowledge

· Evidence of expert knowledge within a particular recruitment discipline and sector through gaining and sharing of information with internal/external customers, contractors/candidates and clients.

· Strong understanding of technical terms and acronyms, able to discuss technical requirements with clients and contractors

· Attend relevant industry/sector networking events to feedback value added information to grow business and enhance knowledge

· Uses and helps to develop marketing material to promote NES offer

Sourcing Candidates

· Evidence of identifying, registering and marketing best candidates available using external job board licenses, internal CV database, LinkedIn, professional bodies and any other modes to attract candidates.

· Demonstration of sourcing suitable candidates through referrals from other candidates and clients.

· Building credible relationships with candidates and clients, demonstrating knowledge of the sector and the market conditions that affect and influence roles and rates

· Proactivity to place candidates - Identify clients and market candidates accordingly.

Recruitment Process

· Effective qualification of job role with evidence of sourcing and placing candidates.

· Successful mobilisation of individuals with smooth issuing of visa and logistic plans as appropriate

· Evidence in maximising opportunities for the company by cross selling departments and candidates sourced throughout the recruitment process.

· Demonstrate the highest standards in database usage, recruitment processes and procedures and general quality compliance

· Ensures 100% compliance for all new starters and promoter NPS scores from clients and candidates.

Contractor Management

· Demonstrates management of diverse contractor base continually developing strong relationships to ensure we are the agency of choice.

· Adopting and driving through service improvements to assist with retaining of contractors to stay ahead of the competition and improve NPS scores.

· Sharing and implementing ideas relating to adhering to best practice, promotional marketing, industry information and incentives to keep contractor management initiatives fresh and relevant.

· Evidence of strong retention rates within discipline area.

· Evidence of managing difficult contractors, devising solutions to issues and escalating internally where necessary.

Business Development

· Evidence of having a successful track-record in conversion of accounts from prospecting stage to full trading, with an emphasis on high margin and generally favourable terms.

· Researches and acquires prospective client information using a variety of sources; LinkedIn; candidates leads; work referees; organisation charts; EIC data stream or any other available market information such as media or press releases to track investments.

· Evidence of defining and executing a BD strategy for the desk, contacting and building relationships with decision makers via client meetings and regular telephone communication.

· Support the Operations Manager in promoting and leading business development within the office.

· Presenting to the client to demonstrate to the client knowledge of their market, sector and needs and potential solutions.

· Working directly with the bids and tenders team to ensure the development and production of the required information and documentation.

· In-depth understanding of contractual and commercial terms with knowledge of what is acceptable to NES Global Talent with an ability to negotiate contracts with clients at a senior level.

Account Management

· Management of key client relationships where required on designated accounts, ensuring client and contractor issues are addressed to identify opportunities, improvements and growth on accounts.

Team Management

· Provide training/coaching to recruitment and/or support staff. The MC coaches each member of the team

· Directs the team’s activities to achieve the KPIs and addresses any performance challenges and guides the team or individual to overcome challenges.

· Uses and maintains management reports to record team's performance.

· Performs monthly reviews with team to discuss performance against targets, development plans, behaviour and progress against objectives.

· Able to motivate, engage and improve team’s effectiveness by tailoring management approach in accordance with the seniority, character and competency of the consultants.

· Monitor process and compliance requirements within the team, including adherence to Bullhorn, pay rolling, invoicing, GP recording and bonus documentation. Advise and train as necessary.

· Provide support, guidance and expertise to the team across all of the required business development and recruitment activities, overseeing the performance, compliance and effectiveness of each member of the team

· Supervises and leads the team to the deliver the KPIs and desk plans set from the budgeting process and reforecasting.

· Assist Recruitment Manager and Operations Manager in placement and BD target achievement by monitoring team performance, reporting accordingly and driving business development opportunities to realise growth within the Operation.

· Assist in the recruitment of new staff as appropriate.

Managing Consultant

Budgeting/Financial Management

· Have an active input into the budgeting process for own desk and responsibility for its delivery.

· Communicate any changes in terms that positively or negatively affect the P&L to ensure financial changes are captured in Management reporting.

· Keep all systems and records up to date to ensure budgeting reports are accurate.

Business Planning and Projects

· Demonstrate ability to review own discipline to identify how improvements can be made, suggest changes, additions of staff, growth options, new investment, training requirements to manage effectively your own discipline to ensure we maximise discipline opportunities at all times.

· Ability to present and articulate ideas to colleagues and management teams with appropriate support materials.

Commercial

· Demonstrates strong understanding of the financial target requirements of personal billing delivery required to deliver against the P&L.

· Understands and can appropriately discuss NES Global Talent’s main contractual terms and conditions internally and externally.

· Understands and is compliant to the Statement of Management Authorisation (SOMA) including the commercial contract margins and or permanent placement fees to be charged.

· Evidence of detailed knowledge of payroll and invoicing procedures; knowledge of credit control and debt control issues that may arise.

· Demonstration of negotiating terms and conditions with the client, including liaising with internal and external Commercial and Legal teams and Finance and Credit control departments to have the terms agreed within SOMA or appropriate approval provided and all internal checks (credit/compliance etc.) completed before a candidate is placed with a client.
