The Video Editor Specialist is responsible for assembling recorded footage into a finished project that matches the director’s vision and is suitable for broadcasting. The role involves editing raw video footage, applying artistic editing techniques, and utilizing the latest video editing software to create high-quality, engaging video content.

• Edit video footage to produce high-quality videos.
• Assemble raw footage, with a logical sequence and smooth running.
• Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film.
• Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects.
• Create rough and final cuts.
• Collaborate with the creative team, including writers, directors, and producers, to achieve the desired end result.
• Work with other video editors and production staff to ensure a cohesive final product.
• Use and maintain modern video editing software and equipment.
• Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running.
• Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production processes.
• Review the script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity.
• Ensure video quality and standards are met.
• Correct faulty footage, adjust sound, and color-grade the final product.
• Develop new and engaging video content that aligns with brand guidelines and marketing strategies.
