Database Administration and Maintenance

·         Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies.

·         Perform database backup and recovery operations, ensuring data integrity and availability.

·         Develop and implement database security measures, including user access control and auditing.

·         Upgrade and patch PostgreSQL instances to ensure software currency and security compliance.

Database Support and Troubleshooting:

·         Configure , and maintain various technologies managed by the team (Oracle Real Application Cluster “RAC”, Grid, ASM, Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Golden Gate and ERP APPS-DBA).

·         perform  Oracle Database Server Backup and Recovery using the RMAN

·         Implement database upgrades, migrations and the major patch sets installation to assure of using the latest available technologies.

·         Moving Data using (Export/Import, Data Pump, SQL*Loader).

·         Configure and Manage ASM.

·         Assist developers and application teams with database-related issues and queries.

·         Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues, errors, and system failures.

·         Analyze and tune database queries for optimal performance.

·         Provide database training and support to other team members as needed.

Database Automation and Scripting:

·         Develop and maintain scripts and automation processes for database deployment, backup, and maintenance tasks.

·         Implement database replication and high availability solutions as required.

·         Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate database operations into continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
