EGID provides world-class customers with all the trading data of trading sessions and market announcements. It also acts as a software development company, offering a range of applications for brokerage firms, such as back-office and front-office systems, listing and disclosure, surveillance and order management. EGID is also an Application Service Provider.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Database Administrator located in New Cairo. The Database Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day management of databases and their environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for database administration, design, and replication. They will also be responsible for troubleshooting and managing databases.

Responsibilities

• Manage database changes and re-designs
• Analyze database issues and troubleshoot or configure the database accordingly
• Drive automation of code
• Monitor database performance to ensure high levels of security and speed
• Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
• Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity
• Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards
• Minimise database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses
• Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data
• Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner
• Design and implement database in accordance to end users information needs and views
