Design and implement strategies for warehouse operations that optimize storage, distribution, and inventory management for spare parts, raw materials, and finished goods.
Develop and maintain short-term and long-term plans to improve warehouse processes, reduce lead times, and manage costs while meeting the organization’s strategic objectives.
Establish and refine KPIs for warehouse performance, regularly reporting on metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
2. Inventory Management:
Oversee the management and tracking of spare parts, raw materials, and finished product inventories to maintain optimal stock levels, prevent shortages, and reduce surplus.
Implement processes for cycle counting, annual physical inventories, and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
Work closely with procurement, production, and sales teams to forecast demand, monitor usage trends, and adjust inventory levels accordingly.
3. Operations Management:
Develop and maintain efficient workflows for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping inventory.
Optimize warehouse layout and storage systems to improve space utilization and ensure a safe, organized work environment.
Implement and enforce warehouse policies, procedures, and safety protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
4. Technology and System Management:
Utilize SAP for inventory management, order processing, and data analysis to drive operational efficiency.
Regularly assess and update warehouse technologies, including SAP and Microsoft Office tools, to enhance productivity and data accuracy.
Train and mentor team members on SAP and other relevant systems, ensuring the accurate entry of all inventory and transaction data
5. Team Leadership and Development:
Lead, manage, and develop warehouse staff, fostering a positive work culture that emphasizes safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Conduct regular training sessions and performance evaluations, providing feedback to enhance skills and align team members with operational goals.
Address any issues related to productivity, safety, or performance within the team, promoting a proactive approach to problem-solving.
6. Continuous Improvement:
Identify areas for process improvement within the warehouse, including cost-saving opportunities, workflow enhancements, and technology upgrades.
Implement best practices in warehouse management and logistics, staying informed about industry trends and new methods for effective inventory management.
Drive initiatives to reduce waste, minimize handling times, and streamline the flow of materials.
- Experience: Previous experience with warehouse management, inventory control, and supply chain operations. Familiarity with the paper industry is beneficial but not required.- Technical Skills: - Proficiency in SAP is mandatory, with demonstrated experience in inventory management and warehouse operations.- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) are required.- Language Proficiency: Native-level proficiency in English is essential for effective communication, documentation, and report preparation.- Education: A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
