Job description

Responsible for installing new flowers, bulbs, grass, trees, and shrubs.

Maintain flower beds, baskets, and boxes by watering, removing weeds, trimming, and performing other maintenance.

Replace and transplant trees, flowers, and shrubs. Maintain trees and shrubs by trimming and pruning. Trim and edge grass in areas that mowers cannot reach. Maintain lawns by mowing, edging, raking leaves, and performing other lawn maintenance. Install, maintain, and operate irrigation systems. Remove and bag trash from all exterior trash cans. Operate dump trucks, tractors, trucks, or utility vehicles to transport equipment, supplies, materials, and debris. Wash, clean, and refuel all equipment after use.

Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE), and employ correct lifting procedures, as necessary, to avoid injury.

Report work-related accidents or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager or supervisor.

Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect.

Partner with and assist others to promote an environment of teamwork and achieve common goals.

Report defective equipment to manager or supervisor.

Perform pre-operation equipment safety checks when using any mower or other equipment.

Maintain flower beds, baskets, and boxes by watering, removing weeds, trimming, and performing other maintenance functions as needed.

Install new flowers, bulbs, grass, trees, and shrubs.

Replace and transplant trees, flowers, and shrubs.

Anticipate that all activities and purchased equipment and belongings may impact the environment. Participate in activities organized to protect biological diversity and share individual responsibilities to increase environmental knowledge and carry out necessary trainings. Aim to minimize consumption of all materials and equipment currently used (paper, printed materials, etc.).

Implement necessary warnings and departmental trainings to save energy within the facility. Continue to implement decisions made for energy saving. Assess environmental effects and energy efficiency of purchased equipment.

Fulfill responsibilities to properly eliminate and collect waste, reduce environmental pollution and harmful effects, and lead staff in these efforts.

Ensure safe handling, storage, and use of chemicals in accordance with laws, controlling and reducing chemical contamination.

Carry out all responsibilities related to the quality management and environmental management systems implemented at the facilities.

Perform all other duties assigned by managers and hotel management not specified in this job description.

Qualifications

• Education: At least a technical high school diploma.
• Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
• Foreign language: Not required.
• Courses and training: Not required.
• Computer literacy: Not required.
• Skills: Plans and designs land areas.
