Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based at SEKEM’s headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, focused on fundraising for SEKEM’s NGOs and agricultural initiatives. The Fundraiser will identify and build relationships with donors, partners, and grant-making institutions that align with SEKEM’s mission in sustainable agriculture and human development. Daily tasks include researching and qualifying funding opportunities, preparing high-quality proposals and grant applications, and coordinating reporting and documentation for ongoing projects. The role also involves organizing fundraising events and campaigns, collaborating with program and communication teams to develop compelling narratives and impact stories, and maintaining accurate donor records and communication plans. The Fundraiser-NGO’s (Agriculture) will contribute to strategic fundraising plans that strengthen SEKEM’s educational, social, and agricultural programs. Qualifications Fundraising and donor relations: Ability to develop and manage relationships with individual donors, foundations, NGOs, and institutional partners, with experience in agriculture or development sectors preferred. Grant writing and proposal development: Strong skills in researching funding opportunities, writing clear and persuasive proposals, and preparing budgets and supporting documentation. Project and stakeholder management: Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder projects, meeting deadlines, tracking fundraising pipelines, and ensuring timely reporting to donors. Communication and storytelling: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to craft compelling impact stories, presentations, and campaign materials. Arabic language skills are an advantage. Analytical and organizational abilities: Competence in data analysis, monitoring fundraising metrics, maintaining donor databases, and handling detailed administrative tasks with accuracy. Background and education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Development Studies, Agriculture, Business, Economics, Social Sciences, or Nonprofit Management; prior experience in fundraising or NGO work is highly beneficial.
