Role Description The Assistant Chef is a full-time, on-site role based at Remal Elrayan Glamp in El Faiyum. This role supports the Head Chef in preparing, cooking, and presenting meals for guests, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events. Daily tasks include assisting with menu execution, prepping ingredients, handling basic cooking tasks, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen that meets food safety and hygiene standards. The Assistant Chef helps with inventory checks, proper storage of ingredients, and coordination with serving staff to ensure timely service. The role also involves contributing to new dish ideas, accommodating dietary requirements, and working flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Qualifications
Foundational culinary skills, including food preparation, basic cooking techniques, and plating. Knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety standards, and proper storage and handling of ingredients. Ability to follow recipes and instructions from the Head Chef while maintaining consistency and quality. Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual kitchen tasks safely. Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality kitchen is preferred. Willingness to work on-site in El Faiyum with flexible scheduling, including weekends and evenings. Culinary diploma or relevant training is an advantage but not strictly required.
