1. Material Planning

• Prepare material requirements based on the approved production plan and sales forecast.

• Calculate raw material and packaging material requirements for each SKU.

• Monitor stock levels, safety stock, open purchase orders, and expected deliveries.

• Identify potential shortages and communicate them in advance to Purchasing and relevant departments.

• Prepare and update MRP files and material coverage reports.

• Follow up on critical materials, slow-moving items, dead stock, and near-expiry materials.

• Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure materials are delivered according to the required dates.

• Monitor material consumption versus standard usage and report significant variances.

• Calculate possible production scenarios based on the availability of materials.

2. Production Planning

• Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly production plans.

• Convert sales demand and confirmed orders into feasible production schedules.

• Coordinate production priorities based on stock availability, customer orders, export requirements, and operational constraints.

• Review production capacity, line availability, manpower, and maintenance schedules.

• Follow up on actual production versus plan and report deviations.

• Update production plans based on line stoppages, material shortages, urgent orders, and changes in demand.

• Support the sequencing of SKUs to reduce changeover time and improve line efficiency.

• Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, Purchasing, Sales, and Marketing.

• Follow up on co-manufacturing and export production requirements.

3. Reporting and Analysis

• Prepare daily and weekly planning reports.

• Track plan achievement, production attainment, material coverage, and stock-out risks.

• Prepare reports for:

  • Planned versus actual production.

  • Material shortages.

  • Inventory coverage and analysis.

  • Capacity utilization and availability.

  • Production delays.

  • Waste and variance.

  • ABC analysis for FG and RM.

• Maintain planning databases and ensure data accuracy.

• Reviewing BOM and consumption with R&D.

• Support S&OP preparation and provide the required planning data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 0–3 years of experience for Junior level.

• Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing is preferred.

• CPIM certificate is preferred.

• Good knowledge of production planning and material planning.

• Understanding of MRP, inventory management, safety stock, and lead time.

• Strong Excel skills.

• Good analytical and numerical skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities.

• Strong follow-up and coordination skills.

• Good communication skills.

• Attention to detail.

• ERP experience is preferred.

• Power BI knowledge is an advantage.
