- Develop, maintain, and review standard product costs and ensure alignment with actual production data.
- Analyze cost variances (material, labor, overhead) and provide detailed explanations for management review.
- Prepare and monitor cost allocation methods for various departments or production units.
- Conduct periodic profitability analysis by product, line, or business segment.
- Reconcile raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventories on a regular basis.
- Ensure accurate valuation of inventory in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Coordinate with warehouse and production teams to ensure physical counts match book records.
- Participate in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Monitor actual spending vs. budget, identify deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare monthly cost reports, production cost summaries, and management dashboards.
- Support financial closing activities and ensure timely submission of costing data to the finance department.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Support the implementation of ERP or costing system enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.4+ years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory management, and ERP systems (SAP, Odoo, Oracle, or similar).Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
