- Prepare, analyze, and report on cost records and cost data to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Monitor and review cost accumulation for raw materials, labor, and overhead to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Conduct variance analysis between actual and standard costs, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with operations, procurement, and production teams to gather relevant cost information and support budgeting processes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of cost accounting systems and procedures.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports for management review.
- Support inventory valuation, reconciliation, and periodic physical inventory counts.
- Participate in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights on cost trends and drivers.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Provide cost analysis and recommendations to support pricing, profitability, and investment decisions.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.4-6 years of proven experience in cost accounting, preferably within a large or diversified organization.Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, practices, and procedures.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (such as SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work under pressure.Knowledge of Egyptian accounting standards and relevant regulatory requirements is a plus.
