General accountant
- A general accountant establishes an integrated accounting system such as costs, budgets and management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded accurately.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations for balance sheet and P&L accounts.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing process, including accruals and adjustments.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with local accounting standards and IFRS.
- Monitor and analyze general ledger accounts to identify discrepancies or variances.
- Maintain fixed asset registers, depreciation schedules, and related accounting entries.
- Collaborate with other finance team members on accounts payable, receivable, and payroll reconciliations.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and schedules.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and local regulations.
- Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
Qualifications & Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce 2–3 years of relevant experience in general ledger Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo).Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, and formulas).Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.Good command of English, both written and spoken.Ability to work independently and within a team, meeting tight deadlines.
