Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounting cycle (journal entries, adjustments, accruals, month/year-end closing).
- Prepare and analyze financial statements: balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow.
- Supervise internal and external audits and liaise with auditors.
- Conduct variance analysis between actual and budgeted figures and provide explanations to management.
- Ensure compliance with international accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and internal policies.
- Oversee accounts receivable/payable, reconciliations, and bank settlements.
- Manage fixed assets, depreciation, provisions, and accruals.
- Handle accounting related to Medical equipment and Real estate investment portfolios.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise junior accountants and ensure task delegation.
- Collaborate with finance, procurement, and operations teams to provide financial insights.
Education & CertificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Professional certifications are highly preferred: ACCA, CMA, CFA, or CA. ExperienceMinimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.ExperienceStrong background in medical equipment accounting and real estate investment accounting. Hands-on experience with complex entries, asset valuation, and investment reportingProven track record of working with ERP and advanced accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).Technical SkillsAdvanced proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling).Solid understanding of tax regulations, budgeting, and forecasting.Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP standards.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Personal SkillsStrong leadership and team management skills.High attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent communication and reporting skills in English (Arabic is a plus).Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Strong sense of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
